Tomkins at centre is a great shout IMO.

I don't think internationals are the place for this experimentation, but I'd be very happy (from and International point of veiw, more worried from a club point of veiw) if Wigan tried it next year.

Joel Tomkins struggles to keep his temperament in pretty run-of-the-mill games. The Aussies would eat him alive.

I would play Westwood at prop and Joel at 2nd row, Westwood isn't good enough, quick enough, skillfull or agile enough to play 2nd row against the Aussies.

We are lacking in attack, we need someone like Joel there, Westwood is solid but he just doesnt have that spark that joel has.

I've often wondered about Joel at centre - he's a big runner with plenty of pace, would do well.

What do we want against the Aussies? A safe forward who does an excellent job, or a big and dynamic 2nd rower who can score long-range tries and has a fantastic knack at hitting lines and breaking gaps, and pace to finish.

Joel will also annoy the Aussies. he'll get in their faces and do his best to take their minds off the game. Yes, he's got a bad penalty habit but that comes when you play with such aggression and passion. It's up to McBanana to get in his head and fix it, and it's up to him to realise what his faults are and fix them.

Westwood is a great forward and was pretty safe against the Aussies last time out, but I want something more; forwards who can open up defences consistently. If he reigns in the penalties, he'll definitely do the job.

That's apart from the fact he has zero composure and thinks kicking the ball instead of passing it when he makes a break and has a 2 on 1 with the full back is a good idea?

We've got plenty of options at prop that are better there than Westwood (take your pick from Morley, Graham, Crabtree and Fielden). If we're shunting people forward from back row to front row Burgess would be front of that queue, followed by Ben Harrison

Then he doesn't play at all then, he isn't in the same league as Ellis or Burgess and Tomkins has the edge on Westwood with his speed, agility and skill.
