I got my own back. I invited him around to watch the 2008 RLWC final. I was resplendent in my Kiwi jersey.'"
Haha, the game goes for nearly 3 hours, you'd have been hammered.

Sick in a urinal and then went and announced it to the landlord.
But I really think we should be getting back to the thread.
As a Warriors fan I really hope someone picks up the NRL soon. I enjoy Superleague but NRL is different class.

spot on mate - I usually Sky + most of the games and if I was to miss out on either SL or NRL it'd be SL every time - plus I need to have a fix of some decent RL being a Reds' fan !

| Think it's a massive shame that we won't be getting it on any channel this year. Very surprised at least Sky hasn't picked it up considering some of the rubbish they fill time slots with throughout the week

Telstra BigPond today announced it will provide free live streaming of Round 1 Premiership matches into the United Kingdom, Canada, USA, South Africa, South America and Europe to promote its ongoing international subscription service.
Following on from the most exciting build-up to an NRL season in memory, fans in those markets will be able to view all eight Telstra Premiership matches for free live on NRL.com via bigpondvideo.com/nrlliveuk.
Fans in Italy will be able to access live streaming to all matches except the Monday night clash between Wests Tigers and Manly, while fans in the USA will be able to access every match except the clash between the Bulldogs and Knights.
From Round 2, a live pay-per-view internet service of Telstra Premiership matches will available via omnisporttv for a fee of $US 5.95 per match.
All international supporters will also be able to subscribe to video streaming of Telstra Premiership matches on 24-hour-delay through the Aussie Sport TV subscription service ( www.aussiesport.tv) for a fee of $US1.95 for a four-day pass and $US 59.95 for 12 months.
The NRL has today confirmed international broadcast deals for the 2010 season with Skysport in New Zealand ( www.skysport.co.nz), the Australian Network ( www.australianetwork.com) in the Asia Pacific region, EMTV in Papua New Guinea, Orbit Showtime Network ( www.orbitshowtime.com) in the Middle East and Dahlia TV ( www.dahliatv.it) in Italy.
The NRL is continuing to negotiate with broadcasters in other parts of the world.
“The Telstra Premiership has a huge support base internationally and we wanted to ensure those fans had an opportunity to watch the opening round of NRL matches live,” NRL Chief Operating Officer, Mr Graham Annesley, said today.
“There remains strong interest from international broadcasters to televise NRL matches this year and we will continue to work with them to try and service our overseas fans.”
International fans can continue to access radio broadcasts at no charge through NRL.com.

| i watched it on big pond tv live streaming on my tv through hdmi, was impressed with the quality for freebie, looked as good sd skysports, if not a tad better.
Was able to record both games at the same time with some software - PM me if interested - and with some reconversion can keep these in my collection.
One question I have... will there be any games streamed live on saturday? I know the highlights will be on there, but wondering about live games from channel 9?

All the round 1 games will be streamed live for free but from round2 you have to pay. Hopefully by round 2 Sky or ESPN will have sorted something out.
Tommorrow's games are Bulldogs-Knights 6.30am, Sharks-Storm 8.30am, Panthers-Raiders 8.30am.
Too early for me, i might get up at 9.30 and watch the second half

20201.jpg "I'm 49, I've had a brain haemorrhage and a triple bypass and I could still go out and play a reasonable game of rugby union. But I wouldn't last 30 seconds in rugby league." - Graham Lowe (1995):20201.jpg |

Streaming for me needed to buffer every 5 mins rendering it unwatchable, even after a reg fix and reducing graphics acceleration. The quality was ok, when it was playing, but when converted via HDMI to a good quality panny full HD tv it looked poor, well below Sky SD level. TBH live streaming isn't a way I would go. I'd be quite happy to pay ESPN, or anyone else to show it via satellite in SD or HD with a reliable feed, but live streaming is always going to be hit and miss. I'm amazed given the Aussie ex-pat community in the uk, and the huge RL fan base here that there hasn't been a deal done and I would urge anyone who is interested to spend 5 mins writing an email to the NRL. I can get countless sports I have no interest in, without the profile of RL and yet I can't get NRL matches - unbelievable.

That might well mean a deal is in the pipeline if that's the case.

I hope so
The one good thing about streaming is that they show every game, i was still up at 3am last night so i watched the first half of the Titans-Warriors game. Titans were shocking, hardly completed a set and still went in only 6 points down at HT. Warriors were just playing basic stuff but they were completing their sets, Seymour was very good with his kicking game, wasn't too impressed with Maloney. They should of had the game won by HT and they lost, Warriors will struggle again IMO.

Agreed. I was shocked to see the final score. Warriors did well in the first, they made plenty of meters forward, and Seymour was kicking well. Though Sam Rapira had a good game. Made plenty of carries.

Scotty Prince got hammered, i thought it was a fore-arm on his chin but you couldn't quite see.
I've only seen him for 40 minutes so i cant just him on that but to say the Warriors forwards were making plenty of metres and had most of the possession in that first half they should of been out of sight.
Did you see Jo Tomane, the guy looks massive compared to last year when he was at the Storm. I couldn't believe it was him when i heard the commentators say his name, he was a skinny thing last year now he's a meat-head.
