| The Cougars have SL potential!
There are however lots of ifs, buts and maybe's, however it is not totally out of the question and can apply to ALL RL teams.
It's down to vision and creating a situation that cannot be refused and THAT is the hard part but not impossible!

| Quote: FalsePositive "if RL was allowed to grow naturally it would only exist in yorkshire. Lancashire very much a football county.'"
Let's flip that around and say that if football were allowed to grow naturally it would only exist in Lancashire and South Yorkshire, West and East Yorkshire are very much rugby league areas.
Thousands of Leeds United, Bradford City, Hudds Town, and Hull City fans would be quite surprised.
Parts of Lancashire are very much football and parts are very much rugby league. And on the other hand, how much rugby league do you see in Rotherham, Scarborough and Skipton?
Your whole comment is even more bizarre when you consider that South Yorkshire invented association football, essentially.

And the rest.
The North-West has a decent claim to being England's sporting powerhouse.

| We,ve also got to consider if Yorkshire is fit for purpose when it comes to frachaises in 2012.
By 2012 Lancashire/Cheshire will have the following teams in superb seated stadiums: Wigan, St Helens, Widnes, Warrington, Salford.
Whilst Yorkshire can only muster Hull and Huddersfield.

How long has the north west been a county? Not been a Rhinos' fan I wouldnt know really, but I think they would rather be Grand Final winners than Challenge Cup winners.

The League table says otherwise for Warrington. In the country they are probably in the top five thanks to the challenge cup heroics. Lancastrian sides belong in the challenge cup and the Yorkshire sides belong in the top tier.

Missed Leeds conveniently off. The RFL gave them thumbs up for their stadium. Same with Bradford.
