Yes, you said treated more strictly, I never said that either, either you're being obtuse or you just don't understand?
Clearly from what I've said I'm saying he should get exactly what the grading says he should takig into account his previous disciplinary record, however what he has done is extremely serious & that IMO at least his headbutting is worse than Hocks idocy barging into the ref. IF any overdue leniancy is given toward Sinfield then this and other similar scenarios that we've seen go innapropriately punished (Bowen was the start of it this season) does have further negative connatations attached to it with regard rugby league (& beyond). it effects how players play the game and the increased likelihood of players from all age groups/std doing what they like without fear of a proper disciplinary reprisal.
It's a micro climate of how society goes, you don't punish people properly others go off and do what they like and things spiral from there.
So, if you think that's trolling then fine, it's the idiotic responses that say nothing (except jibes to which I'll always respond in kind) and don't back up any cogent arguement to back up what's being said.'"
See what you wrote there was much better, previously you alluded to his influence in the game as being a key factor towards any potential decision.
Nice to see you back peddle into a more sensible post.

No, it's not. Just as we shouldn't minimise it, there's no sense in hyping it up like this.
Quote: knockersbumpMKII "...& that IMO at least his headbutting is worse than Hocks idocy barging into the ref. '"
You are entitled to believe that, just as you are entitled to believe the Moon landings were faked, however ridiculous the proposition. And that is pretty ridiculous.

Way OTT> Sinfield lost his rag for once in his exemplary career and shoved his face into Dorn. He did not cause the collapse of western civilisation, nor is there any sensible angle I can remotely see why this action should somehow influence global behaviour. If you don't call being sent off the field in disgrace, and probably costing your team a win, a proper reprisal then what is it? Watching him being sent marching is hardly likely to encourage any impressionables to follow his lead, is it?
But if we follow your general thrust, then what sort of message does it send to these impressionables if a player who has been an example of almost model behaviour and restraint in hundreds of games, gets absolutely no credit for that in a disciplinary hearing? Wouldn't you agree that that would be much more likely to make impressionables think "Well, I'll be, he may as well have been sent off weekly - what good did 10 years of being well-behaved do him"?

| 0 games is the most likely outcome, with Thaler on a grade C charge for sending off Kevin Sinfield.

| Shocking from the England captain. Deserved the red card and to be sent off. I expect 2-3 games (not taking into account the disciplinary panel's inconsistency). However the bad language and the Peacock tackle I think people are using only to bash Leeds with and I usually like to point out the worst things about Leeds but bad language is used in every game and saw nothing wrong with the Peacock tackle.

Dorn's reaction both before and after the incident was something Thomas Muller would've been proud of.

| Quote: Ferocious Aardvark "What was refreshing was watching a sport where Dorn doesn't flinch, and just looks at Sinfield with a mix of bemusement and shock. In the World Cup, it would have justified a backward swallow dive with triple Salko, a seemingly epileptic, face-clutching fit and floor bang, ten minutes of treatment by at least 6 doctors and paramedics, and stretchering off.'"
You keep making sensible and balanced posts which have no place among the tripe on this thread, but this made me actually laugh out loud.

Typical Wakey fan - What's that got to do with anything?
Are most Leeds fans saying he shouldn't get a ban? No.

So you lambast a single Wakey fan for being typical, while stating he's being one eyed in his response?
Pot and kettle ...

If the disciplinary are being consistent it should be sending off sufficient and no fine.

| Quote: Him "If the disciplinary are being consistent it should be sending off sufficient and no fine.'" Sinfield's transgression was much worse than Welham's. The RFL disciplinary process is more complex than the superficial spin put on it by fans and one head butt is not the same as another. It would be scandalous if Sinfield received the same punishment for his blatant, aggressive butt that Welham did for little more than rubbing heads with Dorn back in February.

| Only just seen the incident. It looks like Sinfield took massive offence to Dorn asking the ref for a penalty when Sinfield was clearly all over him. Ironic really.

I can see little difference between the 2 except that Welham is on the floor. Definite use of his head into an opponents. I don't see how it would be scandalous at all. Welham was obviously annoyed for some reason and lost his cool a bit, stuck his head into Dorn's. Same as Sinfield.
And Welham wasn't red carded for it. If anything it'd be a scandal if Sinfield got more than Welham.
