| Surprised that the Thursday night games are not making the top 10, what else do people do on a Thursday night.
I am really enjoying these games and for me it's a really good decision to put the games on a Thursday.

Thursday night RL is not making top ten for Sky Sports 1 channel. If it was on Sky Sports 2 it would be top 4. The viewing figures are very impressive. Only sport thay is holding its own again football (except the darts)

| There appears to have been a distinct lack of enthusiasm resulting in a news blackout with regards to announcements of TV viewing figures for SL fixtures on Sky Sports in recent weeks. I therefore decided to pop along to the BARB website to identify what all the lethargy, non-fuss and can't-be-dness of recent weeks was all about. And here's what I discovered...
Latest BARB viewing figures...
SL Round 6
[iSky Sports 1

4 LIVE FORD SUPER SUNDAY/#ASTON VILLA V ST (SUN 1530 922
5 LIVE FORD SUPER SUNDAY - MATCH (SUN 1230) 833

9 SNF - GAME OF THE DAY (SAT 2002) 213
10 SOCCER AM/#SOCCER A M # 32 (SAT 1000) 174
Nope... nothing there...
Neither Warrington V Wigan (Thu 20 Mar) or Leeds V London (Fri 21 March) made the Top 10 on Sky Sports 1 that week.
However, Catalan V Hudds did make the Top 10 on Sky Sports 2 that week with a whopping 87K tuning in...

rlRalph Rimmer at the RFL likes to mention Rugby Union TV ratingsrl.
rlSo does Martyn Sadler at League Expressrl.
Perhaps they should both be consigned to a Sin Bin with photoshop software and a box of crayons for the next 48 hours as penance for their thought crimes?

Isn't that their job? Well done to both of them. I'd be concerned if they spent their time trying to rubbish the game like some on here do day after day, month after month, year after year...
Do you even have a job?

'"
So let's see what Martyn Saddler actually wrote then...
Quote: William Eve "The Huddersfield-Leeds game, for example, drew an average audience for the match itself of 276,200. It was broadcast on Sky Sports 1, and it was up against a live football game on Sky Sports 2 between Bury and Rochdale, which drew 84,600 viewers. A live under-20s rugby union game on Sky Sports 3 between England and Wales drew 77,400 and live coverage of the World Golf Championship on Sky Sports 4 drew 52,100 viewers.'"
So is that really the best you can come up with? Someone comparing viewing figures on one Sky Sports channel with viewing figures for the same time slot on other Sky Sports channels, one of which happened to be showing an RU game.
Desperate much?

| 3 union games make it into 6 figure viewing figures! The RFL must be quaking in their boots! RL is still comfortably beating union figures.
Could used union attendances but with union using magical 00 attendances you love so much not really accurate is it.

All would be valid had I said your post was a crime. But i didn't. I just asked a simple question, whether a post about other sports shouldn't be in Other Sports.
You then proceeded to twist and wet your knickers.
Slip showing, Billy!

| Sky Sports viewing figures in "higher than BT Sports viewing figures" shock!
Super League by plenty! (Even when they fail to make the Top 10)
|
|
|
| So the 10th placed viewing figure on Sky Sports 1 for w/e 30th March was 226,000.
How do we know SL didn't pull 225,000, comfortably beating everything apart from football on BT (as it always has and always will). I highly doubt Leeds/Saints pulled less than 151,000 which was the top RU figure.
Yeah, so like you say.. Sky Sports by plenty. Even when they don't make the top 10.
And how come you haven't added 9th & 16th March figures? Do they not suit your agenda?
