Interesting twist on most of my comments but, i'll live with it. especially regarding fans that do support their club.'"
Copy and paste to micro quote. Makes it quick and easy to get the point across.

Perhaps you can tell me why, if it's so easy for fans to make the Thursday night games, free transport in now provided for away fans.
Not just for Wakefield, Salford or Huddersfield but, for the fans of all SL clubs (apart from Catalan, now that would be a freebie and a half). This does of course include the so called bigger clubs, whose following is also pitiful on a Thursday but, you know this anyway.'"
When did I say it was easy?
You've argued a lovely little strawman there.
What I said was that it's not an issue for football fans on the same wages as us. I know loads of Hull City fans that travel all around the country to watch their club. It's not that it's easy; it's that they don't moan about travel and just see it as part of supporting their club.
The problem in rugby league is that it's been so easy for so long that anything more than traveling outside your back yard is seen as too hard. Fans have been spoilt, especially the West Yorkshire clubs who have been able to get to (at times) 6 away games within 30 minutes.
It's a mindset that needs to change if we are to grow as a sport out of our tiny heartlands.

I acknowledged the excellent work done by Toronto in promoting the game to new fans of the sport and "we" could do with some of the same nous in the English game
However, you fail to contemplate the logistical difficulties with playing over there. Playing only half of the home fixtures at home doesnt seem quite right but, as you point out, it's all about the money so why should anyone give a toss ?'"
I fail to do nothing.
The issues for Toronto do not affect anyone other than Toronto. Playing some games away from Toronto is not ideal FOR THEM, but that's their issue. Playing the odd game on the road has never been an issue. I think the issue at Lamport will need addressing eventually for them to be more successful, add I think it will inevitably be. But I don't think the issues are as big as you think. They certainly aren't an issue for anyone else in the game but Toronto, who have quite clearly known this and planned for it from the off.

You also aren't bothered that the criteria for all other members of SL (and I know that Toronto aren't quite there yet) wont be applied to them in the top flight.
Just for arguments sake, IF Mr Koucash were to set up a club in Liverpool, very unlikely now that Widnes have been re born), should this club be offered the same concessions because he's a seriously wealthy guy or should the criteria applied to the rest of the league apply to this club. Unlimited imported players, no academy, play just 7 home games a season at home, dont take part in the cup. Basically do what the hell you want because you're loaded ??'"
Do I think a club in Liverpool (on the doorstep of about 5 academies) should be held to the same standard as a club thousands of miles away from any current player development in terms of importing players? Of course they shouldn't. If you want to kill the project now, then that would be the easiest way to do it.
Why should Liverpool get the advantage of being on the doorstep of loads of rugby league academies being on their doorstep to fill their squad?
As for the cup - get real.
Would Wakefield be in the cup if they had to pay a £500k bond? Of course not. Neither would any club. It's a joke. Nothing to do with the club at all and quite desperate of you to try and use that as a reason.

Also, as we increase the number of overseas clubs in SL, should we look at changing the academy structure or, should the "overseas" academy sides be based in the UK or, should all clubs fund their academies when clocking up the air miles'"
That's something for the league to discuss. If the Canadians and Americans are to run academies in the same light as current SL clubs (which I doubt they will to start with because they won't be ready), they can always share the same flight to make logistics simpler. These are not impossible issue to overcome.
