| It is obvious that having Toulouse in Super League will create a local derby with Catalans. This will boost the popularity of rugby league in southwest France. It will also give French, English and other international rugby league fans a French club game on TV every week.
It will be a winner in so many ways having Toulouse in Super League.

| As you've said for the past two years. Do you not get tired of saying the same thing over and over again?

Terrible Toulouse were lucky to get a Point from their home game with Laughable London....having dropped 5 Points at Home to Luckless Leigh, Limp London and twisted Toronto, they find themselves with a must win scenario v Have-a-Go Halifax at the Shay or the prospect of being overtaken in the race for the top 2 spots. Lolly Laden London are the key to the finishing positions.....but trifling Toulouse will loose 6 from 7 if they scrape into the 8....losing to Fev and Batley shows how poor they actually are away from home.

Toulouse were robbed yesterday.
A shocking call given as a Toulouse knock on, when the ball came off a London player denied them the win but, it was an entertaining game.
The bigger issue will be where they play if/when they gain promotion.
However, based on yesterdays performance, neither they, nor London appear to be ready for SL.

Why not ready? You surely don't expect them to join Super League with exactly the same team that they have now!
Terrific Toulouse could easily retain their current outside backs and halves, but need another prop, two second rowers and a lock from NRL ranks, in order to be placed in the top 8 of Super League alongside Catalans.

Over 200 km travel is hardly what you'd call a local derby?

The Funding for the top 4 is what everyone is playing for....Toulouse, London, Toronto and Leigh have the largest wage bills......Fev and Fax are playing for bigger pay packets next year....it really is going down to the wire, but as you say, other than Toronto and maybe Leigh none of the Championship sides look good enough.

But other clubs have already started recruiting for the 8’s. There is a deadline you know!

Could you please tell me the deadline? I will pass the information on to Toulouse coach Sylvaine Houles.

Not ready to compete with the bottom 4 of SL and their ground would need expanding (or maybe they would Share with Toulouse RU ??), with capacity of around 4k, it doesnt seem big enough and there is little room to add new stands etc, with the open air pool at one end and about 10ft of space behind the sticks at the other and access for traffic was awful, with small winding streets.
Also, speaking to the locals, they seemed to think that Catalan are not overjoyed at the prospect of Tolouse competing with them for @local@ players etc.
A great day out though and very welcoming.

Remind me how Toulouse got on in London?

They won......as they did in Blackpool......But loke Toronto, Fev lost in the capital and Fax are on their way down now....London have only dropped points against fellow contenders, Toulouse have lost to part-timers when on the road.....

Don’t worry about the facts or anything will you. Fax have actually gone upwards, not downwards. London away, Toulouse and Rochdale at home, ( fax have won almost all home games at home ).
Fax will finish top 4 along with Toronto. I see Fev getting pipped by Leigh and Toulouse sneaking in.
