I can't see it been the latter. Cannot see the chairmen allowing it. First Utility are a rapid growing business, a decent cash sum and its win win.
Of course certain posters will bang on about the engage deal been worth £1.2 million, but that's pointless. The awful stobart deal destroyed all the gains me we made and we have to start from scratch. Heads should have rolled for the stobart deal and it's a disgrace they didn't.
Lets not compare this new deal to the engage though, compare it to stobart in that £500k is better than £0. We will have to build the deal up year on year.

Cutting through all the history, accepting mistakes have been made and welcoming small steps on a lesser budget......are you sure you are a Bradford fan?

Billy doesn't make stuff up.......he reports attendances that are published across the same media but which show that attendances for RL have dropped despite heavily discounted pricing.......you don't like this so you start calling people names.
As for you proving anything or calling anyone out.....you don't have the brains you were born with.....you think any criticism of Te game is trolling to the extent that you refuse to accept the simplistic maths that more people on average attend the aviv a premiership than the FU Superleague.......so you remove games and teams to make yourself feel better!

£750K is better than a Stobart Zilch but still nowhere near as good as the deal with Engage.
As for FU?
I won't be switching my Gas & Elec to them any time soon.
They score very poorly in terms of customer service with the consumer association (Which magazine).
rlA fair number of people here aren't impressed eitherrl

Not sure what most of your post is about, it's got nothing to do with what i said has it? Do you just have a list of pre typed responses ready to copy & paste every night that are close'ish to the topic?
But anyway, this is true is it or did he just make it up?
[iThe fact remains that ticket sales for the RLWC were extremely slow and didn't take off until adult tickets were priced at between £5 and £7.50.[/i
No, thought not. Just like your own pre WC predictions.

I was 27% out on my RLWC prediction and freely put my hands up to being incorrect.
Billy is correct in his comments regarding the price dropping towards the latter stages if the RLWC build up.....and we're still awaiting the legacy.
The FU deal is a cracker if it is 750k up front......Bradford announced a 1 million quid deal with barter card last year......we all know it was nothing of the sort but let's see what the bare bones of this deal are before passing judgement shall we?

It was a bit more than being "incorrect" though wasn't it. You were preaching to all and sundry about how big a disaster it was going to be, mocking those who disagreed with you as always and generally rubbishing the tournament at every opportunity.
Still at least you didn't do an AP and disappear when you were proven to be a clueless **** (like he is pretty much every season with his all knowing predictions - see Southstander 2004, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12)

no...it was 27% out. I said 360k....it delivered 460k.....and some of those tickets were available (towards the end at a fiver a pop)...but I put my hands up and said well done to the organisers.....that was 3 months ago BTW!

the massive success that was RLWC 2013 delivered smaller crowds than union friendlies on 4 of the 6 weekends and has resulted in RL getting no more (or no less) media coverage since in the UK....

Not accepting mistakes. I said heads should have rolled for that decision. We're now in the situation we're in and the last deals was worth zilch. Hopefully this one will be a decent deal. The cash in all honesty doesn't make that much difference, it was the sports reputation that got damaged by the stobart deal. Every negative article I read, at the end was the fact the sport didn't have a sponsor.

| I wonder if we'll see proper matchday branding with a modified SL logo on goalposts, pitch, pitchside?
I wonder if we'll even see the SL logo return to players jerseys again? Been 2 years (I think) since all clubs were required to have the Engage SL logo on both sleeves. Again a missed/wasted opportunity because of incompetence.

| As I said way back on 22nd December in only the 4th post on this thread.....
Quote: Derwent "I hear that the new sponsor is in fact an energy company.....'"
I also hear that the cash value of the deal is nowhere near £750k, in fact its less than half that amount, with the rest of the value being made up of contra-deals and incentivisation based on volume of supporters switching to FU. It is one of those "worth up to" deals, not a guaranteed figure.
