Quote: The Devil's Advocate "Hansen’s tackle was as cynical “Cannonball style” attempt from behind which resulted in Ratchford taking no further part in the game, Westwood was stupid but it didn’t result in Green leaving the field or even affecting his performance, he won the MOM.'"

Hansen hit the hip. He did not aim for the legs, he just came down on him awkward. Westwood deliberately punched Green. You can't claim Hansen's was deliberate.

Watch it back. He hit his hip, it just wasn't well timed, in the same way Monaghan got his head in the wrong position. If that had been Hock punching someone, the board would have gone into meltdown. It wasn't only stupid, it was illegal and had it been spotted should have been a red.

Wanted Wire to win, but given Westwoods and Then Coopers tackles, the pies probably deserved it, yes Warrington lost 2 players, but both to fair tackles IMO

If it had been seen by the ref it should have been a straight red with no complaints.

Cooper was very lucky as well. Dirty dirty wire tonight i am afraid.

Hansen's was legal. But it's borderline legal and he was going in to hurt the player.

The two Warrington cheap shots were very cheap and nasty. But Didier Drogba's milked punches less than those two did tonight. Westwood only tapped him, there's no way that tap deserved the 5 minutes he milked it for.

The last one was another cheap and nasty shot. But the Wigan player didn't go down because of the hit, he went down to take the penalty, thank you very much.

Thought Hansen was aiming for the legs but Ratchford was going down so first contact was the hip. Still unpleasant tactics.
Westwood's was a cheap shot and he should have been off.

So what was Westwood actually trying to achieve?

Agree with this.

Hope we don't have a "cannonball" tackle saga next season like Souths did last year, who coaches them again?

So you've seen his scan then? How can you diagnose what he has from your armchair?

It was a blatant, nasty cheap shot. A straight red for me if the ref sees it. It's a banning offence IMO. Don't know how many games because I don't know how heavy they clamp down on these things these days.

I think Blake Green will have been hurt. But I don't think he was the five minutes on his back hurt which he milked it for.

I don't think RL players should have to deal with punches in play. It's cheap and disgusting to hit a guy who has two hands on the ball and no way to protect himself. But both the Wigan players milked the cheap and nasty play from Warrington for all they were worth.

Stick to wendyball where they fake their injuries. That was a bad one. Could be a fracture.
