I'm struggling to think of anything in the game Webb did that WASN'T dirty!

| Brent Webb did a lot of stuff off the ball, Sky didn't show it on their coverage. Blokes a nutter islander.

| I thought he was an Australian Aboriginal that identified his background with being a solid New Zealand player.

| With Webb, Elima, and Pryce do Catalans have the whiniest, most niggly trio in SL?

Correct Towns. Andy Schik was the winning try in the cup wasn't it.

| Watching on sky, where you do not know what is going on off the ball, there were four significant flashpoints. All ultimately the responsibility of players but none of which seemed to be dealt with well/correctly by the ref. This does lead to frustration from both sets of players and an escalating problem. With better match/player control at the first couple of incidents the later ones probably dont happen.
The incidents I thought were significant were:
1. Early tackle by Westwood, he gets an elbow in the face and gets up , fist cocked. Difficult call for the ref but with hindsight perhaps a stronger word to calm things down helps.
2. Leon Pryce is tackled near Wire line, wins penalty, gets up and "walks into Riley(?) who is still on the ground. Waterhouse "runs in" (only 2/3 steps and throws a poor punch, which makes contact but does little damage. TJ advises ref that Leon Pryce contact with prone player was accidental. Really not sure about the Pryce contact being accidental, but having concluded that the Ref cannot ignore the Waterhouse punch - think the officials got two calls wrong here and after that a bigger incident was highly likely.
3. Elima swinging arm tackle on Evans. Not seen a clear replay to be certain it was foul play or an attempt to dislodge the ball, I assume the ref got the first call right. Westwood dives in landing 2 or 3 good punches. Again the ref ignores these afters.
4. The sin binning incident, commented on widely by others. There is little doubt that Westwood was guilty of advancing beyond the PTB looking for trouble and landing the first blow. Whatever Brent Webb may have done in the previous tackle, that went unseen/unpenalised by the officials. I cannot comprehend how Silverwood ended up awarding Wire the penalty, binning Webb, who after the ptb was very much the victim (Silverwood let everything prior to ptb go) and did not send off Westwood, who had walked several metres beyond the ptb in pursuit of Webb, threw the first punch and a vicious uppercut.
Overall I thought Webb, Westwood, Elima and Waterhouse all did pretty stupid things, Silverwood was incompetant.

| Also, Webb sinbined 5 times in 2007!
Silverwood had a mare last night and was lucky not to completely lose control of the game.

I note you ignored the moment when Webb got up after a kick return had a pop at higham then walked past the play the call moaning at the ref and kept moaning for the full set of six, then the next set he played for and got a soft penalty.
Westwood took some proper in the tackle last night from all the dragons players, it was amazing to see the amount of hands and knees ending up on tackled players faces last night when they were on their backs on the floor.
Also you've chosen to ignore whatever the Fuck duport did prior to the fight where he tried to drag Ben to the floor whilst unscrewing his head. That's when the ref should've called a penalty and calmed Catalan down.

I assume you watched it on telly. In which case you missed lots of stuff the Tv cameras didn't catch. There was a lot of, off the ball digs going on and Benny got a lot of rough treatment throughout the game. In fact he seems to be the man to rough up, Wigan and Cas did the same. Maybe he needs to be protected ala Tomkins.

I don't think I have ever seen the suggestion of a Forward needing protection?
That is bizarre.
