| Southerners seem to struggle with some of the physical aspects?
Which ones exactly?
When you lot swooped on the Welsh RU boys in the 80s, most of them seemed to find it quite easy. Deveruex, Bateman, Quinnell, Davies, Ellis etc took to it like a duck to water.
Similarly Kieron Cunningham and Iestyn Harris to name but two don't seem to have struggled any.
I suspect you are thinking of those "softie southerners" of your imagination THAT DON'T ACTUALLY EXIST.
Still if it makes you feel better.

Is this the Kieron Cunningham from St. Helens and the Iestyn Harris from Oldham?

| Quote: FalsePositive "Will Rugby League ever take off down South?'"
Rugby League just has outposts in the south I’m afraid. It took off a while ago down there but shall never be as big as it is up north thanks to dominance of other sports down there. In fact if you compare rugby league to football and athletics its not even big up north. It may not be big enough but its good enough to give a typical fan like me my kicks!
Quote: FalsePositive "Will it ever progress beyond the M62 corridor? '"
Progressed years ago. Its just not progressed very well on a professional level. Hence why Harlequins and Celtic crusader haven’t won the top cups yet!
Quote: FalsePositive "Any thoughts?'"
Everyone needs to just accept rugby league for what it is rather than wanting it better. At the end of the day if we all put our heart and soul into making this sport as big as athletics and football none of us will live to see the fruit of all that. I’m sure that the people of the Mobile Phone Throwing sport don’t moan as much we do about the expansion of the sport!

| Is Iestyn an Odham name then?
Welsh internationals from SOUTH Wales Cunningham and Harris hail form WALES.
No comments on the other SOUTH WALES players that rose to the highest heights in your M62 game?
I wonder WHY.

| I have to say, those players are not half as good as their reputations made them out to be.
They were always bettered by English players, and that says alot considering the Poms cant play this game for sh*t.

As much as I disagree with the hopefully tongue in cheek point about the south, South Wales isn't really what people are getting at when they refer to the south.
As for the contribution of players from South Wales, at times it has been considerable and commendable (although Davies seems intent on undoing his efforts on the pitch with his travesty behind the mic), but to argue those two are truly Welsh is stretching it a tad. Both are English born and qualify through the grandfather clause as far as I can gather.

Mmm, right. Like Tony Clubb battering Matt King for 80 mins or LMS taking the ball up?
Comeback when you have the game troll

| The game is widly played and watched in the south of englan, Hemel Stags being a good example of a community club building on firm foundations. Being fair some of the established Northern clubs don't really off a lot to the game.

| League freak,
Another query:
You know your avatar? Is it descriptive of you? You know, that you're actually a bender?
Not judging, just curious. I know how some of you colonials are fond of your homoerotic tight shorts and are proud of your record in all-male full contact sports.
