I've been to the Galpharm with 6,000 on and it's been a terrific atmosphere. Personally, I've no problem with any of them - people might call them soul-less, but I think they're developing their little quirks as time passes.

Quote: braytontiger "maybe so but other than the hull derby it will always be half full for games, also what happens if the f.a choose the kc for the world cup has a venue which is the plan isnt it, a 46000 seater stadium.'"

and who will pay for it?? hull city will be lucky to be still in the premiership at the end of this season let alone 2018!!

does it really matter if the ground doesn't sell out every game! fc are one of only a couple of clubs making a profit after each season.

its ok saying how great grounds like the jungle are, until you lose you license for SL over it, thats why i'm thankfull we play where we do, full house or not!

New stadiums will encourage larger attendances and more punters through the gates.

For sporting events with any sort of live audiences, health & safety is the number 1 priority.

Health and safety?

I must have missed all those people getting killed watching Cas.

Agree with most posters, but should also add that the Jungle and Knowsley Road look and sound infinitely better on TV than the half empty concrete monstrosities found in Wigan, Huddersfield, and Hull.

I been lucky enough to go to most big and new stadiums but i will say the KC stadium is the worst by an country mile it is to expencive and the fans who have turned in to cardboard cut outs and half full stadium i like best is Wigan cheep and it is an easy 2 points.

Most modern stadiums aren't built for rugby. They're a bit on the large side and they lack standing areas. As good as the kc, jjb and galpharm are, they're not ideal for their respective clubs.

In my mind hull fc's home will always be the boulevard and their fans might say different, but there's something not quite right about them 'using' the kc.

Wire's place on the other hand might be considered 'souless' by some, but its a sensible capacity with standing areas. Its down to the fans to create the atmosphere, not the bricks and motar. IMO they've got that place spot-on and I'd go as far to say its the best rugby league stadium in the country.

so we are all in agreement that the galpharm is in fact the worst stadium in the world of rugby league to visit
