I thought it was pretty good. It was better than last years for example.
I agreed with all the video ref calls, too.

You might be in the minority there.

Despite Wire winning and Huddersfield doing their best to lose and the awful video ref decision against Lunt, I also enjoyed it for the most.
You just always felt IF Hudds ever stopped ing around and finally played their game they had it in them to win.
Fair play to Warrington, their early blitz saw them through and their tactics were perfectly suited to getting around Hudds and closing down their game.

| Great final and well done to Warrington. The best team won, but can't help feeling Huddersfield never really got started.
Briers was man of the match for me.

34016.jpg You might, and might not concur with my post, but it is simply my opinion. Nothing more, nor less.:34016.jpg |

| Thought it was a good final, but, the refs seem to have a mandate of late to try and disallow tries rather than just go with their gut instincts. I thought at least one of the 2 disallowed Giants efforts were tries.

| Very exciting final. Nice to see some brains and tactics being used rather then just bashing away until something happens. Early kicks, chips, passing along the line in thier own 20. Some lovely stuff from hudds as well just never get the balance right between go forward and the more creative stuff. Very enjoyable. Be interesting to see if the tv audience was bigger with all the interest generated by two unusual finalists.

| Good game!, but If I think Robinson ought to give his wages to his captain Hodgson, seemed to me to be the only Huddersfield player putting in any effort.

| I thought the Giants lost direction when Moore came on and went to acting half-back instead of Lunt. He very rarely, if ever, ran from acting half-back like Lunt and didn't get the Wire on the back foot. All Moore did wasd pass all the time and it was so easy to defend against whilst Lunt was pushed out wider and basically out of the play. Too many errors by those classed as experienced for the Giants but Wire deserved their win no doubt about that.

Lunt and Brett Hodgson were Giants best players.

Just got back from Wembley, I think the above sums it up pretty well for me. Regardless of video ref decisions, the best team won and Briers was superb for the Wire. Thought Crabtree was the stand out player for Huddersfield, but they just made too many errors to get into the game.
Wire must've had in excess of 30k there; they certainly made plenty of noise.

Looked great on television. What was the atmosphere like around Wembley Way?

No chance. He shifted the ball into his other hand. Awful decision.

And the attendence is reported as 76,560.
Like I said, it looked bad because Wembley is such a big ground. 76,000 is an excellent attendence IMO.
