There's plenty of pace and attacking ability in that 1-7 possibly only bettered by Leeds Rhinos. If Salford could tempt Jodie Broughton back to the club they'd have the fastest backline in the SL.

They need some more quality in the front row in order to get the best from their half backs and in turn get their backs moving.

Jones-Bishop also to fit in there somewhere, most likely for Meli.

Meli is only on a 1 year deal so swap him for Jones-Bishop.

It is indeed a very exciting back line when you see it written down like that. You're also forgetting Ben Jones Bishop who will, I imagine but may be wrong, replace Meli. BJB isn't lightning fast but he's quicker than Meli.

Not sure it gives them the quickest back line but they must be pretty close.

You're right about the front row. With Shannan McPherson already gone, Darrell Griffin rumoured to be moving to Fev and Morley surely retiring, we're a bit short on props, and we don't appear to have a specialist hooker yet. I suspect Marc Sneyd will be used to tempt a prop or hooker away from somewhere.

Anyway, back on topic to prevent people getting upset about this thread not being entirely and specifically about transfers:
Josh Griffin to Salford for the rest of the season.

BJB is currently the fastest player at Leeds, and they have some genuine pace.

I wondered about him. Played well for Salford, but only occasionally. A lot of the time he seemed lost. Looks like he improved at Bradford though.

I guess there'll be quite a few players leaving Bradford later this year.

Niall Evalds is probably quicker , I remember him outpacing Leeds Watkins & McGuire scoring a length of the field try last season.

They appear to have signed much better backs than they currently have, but unless they sign around 3 decent props, a decent backrow and a good hooker they'll still struggle to do much better than about 8th next season in my opinion.

Lama Tasi, Gareth Hock, Harrison Hanson irepresent a good start but they need a quality hooker or two and three solid hard working front rowers.
