Bitter at the system yes, definitely. What have I to be embarrassed about there?
People saying “bet you weren’t complaining about it last year”, well yes I was and we’d have still gone up had the proper form of promotion/relegation been in place. In fact, we’d never have gone down in the first place under the old format.

Same for me I was gutted when we got you first, (was hoping we got you at the end when it was hopefully done and dusted) but interestingly on one of my many chats with Rob Lui who lives near me he was more than happy to play you first. As for Rob I can't remember a game he didn't turn up in, ok for much of the season he's had well someone different/rookie in most matches partnering him due to circumstances at the club, and has been asked to play a more structured role (which is not his game). Infact the only game I remember him being out for was the important semi final against Wigan last year.
And then there's Todd Carney I was delighted when he came to Salford but if I'm honest the only game he ever turned up in was away at Wire when he ran the show, I can't really remember anything else he ever gave us .
Anyway on to Widnes for us and good luck to your club next week.

And last season too, when they should’ve gone also, as Hudds should have gone the season before and so on.
The game should have relegation. The season can still be very exciting towards the back end with one up, one down as it was for us in our maiden season. But relegation shouldn’t work like this.'"
Sorry don’t buy that, you all knew what you signed up for. You also have no idea how the league would have ended up looking in a one up one down scenario - how can to be sure Widnes would end up bottom!
It’s loke the LLS, if that’s what teams were playing for then why assume that’s how the league would end up looking!
Last year Cas probably wouldn’t have finished top if others teams thought you had to finish top to win.
That isn’t the system we use so stop using it as an excuse. Of you think it’s a crap system then don’t watch it, vote with your feet or put up and shut up.

Not like the MPG at all. We were never really in it on Friday. Salford could have been further in the lead at half time if they hadn't bombed their own chances.
Not out enthused more out muscled. Badly missed Masoe, Jewitt, Blair and Carney on the wing. The media quoting it was our best side before the match was just nonsense.
Salford was always going to be a tough opponent. Neither Widnes nor Leeds faced a 2018 SL side at the weekend. Could be worse, we could have lost at home ro a less fancied Champ side or the apparently greateat side in the m8s only just squeezing by a part time outfit away from home.
Next week away at Toronto will give a better indication as to where things will end up in this comp and will be Toronto's first SL type game at home. Am I confident? No. Might we win? Maybe.

| If Toronto beat Hull Kr, I think it’s going to be MPG at best for them, a massive game for Hull kr. It’s great that this fixture is on sky sports.
Kr have the advantage of a full week turnaround with TWP on a 5 day turnaround.

| I agree about the system - what use a promoted team finishing 3rd from bottom and surviving a full season ( 11 points clear of bottom) to then go through this. It's a massive achievement for a promoted team to do that, yet into a mini season we go. Sooner they get rid of these the better, does not reward any form of consistency throughout the season. It's madness, short termism and any team getting promoted have absolutely zero chance to build. All for the million pound game scenario which nobody loves but sky. Like i said, madness.
This had zero impact on this game though, Salford were just the better team. Kicking game was excellent and we did not have enough go forward. We started every set on or own 5 or 10, and eventually ran out of steam. Perfect tactics for a game of this ilk and kudos Ian Watson. No concerns about the result correct team won.
Still 12 points to play for, with 3 home games all winnable and having won a couple of away games recently we still have a very good chance

and?.....Toronto have had that and more all season, so it's poetic justice (and a perfect excuse for sir nobb'ead if they lose).....better still was that Halifax made them work really hard on Sunday, so they'll have been tired and aching getting on the plane today with 2 broken wingers....I hope Eat Hull spank them personally...they are starting to come across as whining smug idiots and being taken down a peg or 5 in front of their beer swilling public is just what they deserve!

| The middle 8s are far more interesting to watch than a load of meaningless nothing games at the back end of the season. The HKR players have only themselves to blame for that loss.

I agree they are far more interesting to watch and certainly add excitement. However it’s hard to argue that they are fair when Leeds or Hull Kr could be relegated after finishing so far ahead of Widnes, or that London could be promoted after finishing so far behind The Toronto Wolfpack.

Are you defending the system because your club benefitted from it massively?
On your last point, great idea, we should all stop supporting our individual clubs because that’s going to help how?

Literally no different to Leeds winning Super League in 2011 and 2012 after finishing 5th. Play-offs work fine at both ends of the table.

Spot on. However, no point moaning about it, just got to crack on and hope for the best.

Totally out enthused, and that’s totally unacceptable.
The qualifiers concept is a joke. I was happy Widnes got beat last night because they’re the team that should go down with them finishing bottom. Whilst we have never finished bottom we once again find ourselves scrappyimg to survive. I kinda hope we and Leeds go down together because that’s 20k fans lost to the top flight.
Beaten again by the club with the paper thin squad, no money, crowdfunding to make money and no fans when it really matters. They finish below us, but we look like we could go down... again.
The system rewards clubs that don’t aspire to be anything more than clubs that make up the numbers.
Only in Rugby League.'"
This coming from a fan of a club who left money aside on the salary cap specifically so they could recruit FOR the middle 8's resulting in not being competitive enough in the first 23 rounds. How's that for aspiration and making up the numbers?

Totally disagree with that. Do some research on all the work my clubs done when compared with most clubs in the league before trying to slate it.
Holding money back? We sign Todd Carney for a month on maybe 10k for that month along with crookes and Hall who’ll be on 10k for the month combined? Held loads of money back there. I’m sure every club in the league could have signed somone for a month.
