| One does worry about how Marwan is going about it. He's made his opposition to the current cap system and level known publically and he is slowly amassing a star laden side, seemingly winning a bidding war for every player he signs. I just hope he isn't doing a Melbourne, paying through 3rd party companies, heading for a confrontation with the RFL when he's in clear breach, or just ignorantly heading for a fall by loading salary on star players and being left with a squad of 6-7 stars and 20 kids and being no better.
For the record and any paranoid Salford fan, I'm not making a direct allegation of any wrong doing and I'd love Koukash's Salford to be a success, the more 'big' teams in SL there are, the stronger the competition is.

| Interesting .............. either there wasn't much interest in BJB, or he is more confident in Salford's ability to avoid relegation this season than I am.

| Interesting to see how many contributors to this thread feel that Salford are favourites for relegation. As things stand Salford are 9 points clear of the relegation places.
I'd be very surprised if 10 points isn't enough for safety this year and I'd be absolutely amazed if we don't pick up at least 1 win between now & the end of the season. We're only 1 point off 8th place and while I don't for one second think we'll make the top 8 it would seem a more likely scenario than relegation.

Like Hull and a couple of other teams, if Bradford get some points back, it could be time to worry.

Realistically its between Bradford and Wakefield. Salford are an outside shot if they have big injury problems. Bradford won't get 6 points back, so worst case scenario for the teams above them is they get 4 back. There are 15 games left. It would be a huge achievement for them to win even 7 of those. That would put them on, at most, 18 points. Are you telling me you can see Hull, Hull KR or Catalans not winning the 4 out of 15 that they would need?
I would be surprised if Wakefield get dragged into it. I would be absolutely amazed if anyone else did.

Hull?? Are you being serious? You are clueless if you think they even need to think about relegation.

Some of Hull's own fans have said this already, so whether he's serious or not, it could be possible if Bradford get 6 points back.
If this were to happen, they would be within 4 points (2 wins) of, Wakefield, Salford, Catalan and both Hull clubs and with half of the season still remaining, none of these clubs should feel safe.

Having watched every game this season, which I would guess is a lot more than you have seen us, then yes I am serious. They needs to be a serious improvement in the performance currently apart from London, I can't see who we will beat on current form.
If Bradford gets 6 points back we could be in trouble, I think it is highly unlikely but not impossible.

| Hull are in very poor form, but a lot of people are being overly pessimistic. We will finish somewhere between 6th and 8th again. That still not good enough, but talk of relegation is silly imo. I have voiced my concerns over Radfords coaching ability, but we have still have enough quality to win our share of games.
We have 6 away games in a row now (well, one neutral), but apart from Leeds and perhaps Catalans we should be winning them all. If we lose all 6 then I might start worrying, but I bet we are alot closer to the top 4 than the bottom 2 after those 6.

London are gone .......... but let's see how many points Bradford get back, before suggesting that Wakey and Salford are safe.

What do you mean if? We've suffered more than our fair share of injuries this season. This weekend for example we have no scrum-half available, with both Tim Smith and Theo Fages out. Greg Johnson is still a long term absentee due to his broken jaw.
BJB is a great signing for us. As others have said, he's young, British and talented, just the type of player you want. With Kevin Locke, BJB, Junior Sa'u, Greg Johnson and another centre we must have one of the most exciting backlines in Super League. A stark difference to this seasons, Meli, Gleeson, Williams etc.

Based on watching you this season if Chase and Hock both get injured for a few weeks, you would be fooked.
Totally agree with your backline if you can sign another centre and get Sneyd, your 1-7 is as good as any team in SL IMO.

BJB and Locke aint going to help you win any games this season and the fact that you have Smith and Fages missing this week, surely makes it less likely that you will win ??
Injuries are part of the game and when key players are missing, it magnifies the difficulties of running with a small over paid squad.
Of course Salford should be safe but if Bradford were to regain their 6 points, then ALL of the bottom 6 clubs are at risk, regardless of the size of Dr K's wallet.
