| Quote: Ferdy "Cant really see the racism point. I personally dont have too much of a problem with it, but it is hardly promoting development of rugby league in wales signing and filling a team with average aussies instead of blooding the welsh youngsters'"
I think that racism has become a dirty word in the last 10/20 years or so. There’s racism and then there’s racial hatred which are two totally different things. Racism is not liking someone because of who they are. Racial hatred however is someone going out of the way to make it as hard as possible for someone to get by peacefully on this earth.
I don’t think the latter is true of most people on here. Yeah they have an opinion that they’d rather have an average Englishmen than an average Australian playing in Super. But they also want superstar Australians over here – which just goes to show that the racism is mild and just limits to a certain type of player.
However once this player is on the pitch then I’m sure that most people will support that player regardless of where they come from. It’s the talk on here that’s a bit racist. But what get’s said on here, stays on here I hope. There’s nothing wrong with been a racist if it’s just an opinion. But racial hatred is something I’ve yet to see on here yet.

| Quote: Damo-Leeds "snip'" I think its safe to say that there's very few people these days who would hold race against one of their own teams players. Can you imagine saints fans booing leon pryce because he's black, or Tony Puletua because he's Maori? I would suggest the number of people who would resort to shouting racial taunts at opposition players will also be few and far between.
People just want England and the sport in England to succeed. They see certain kinds of signings as counter productive.

| Daniel Holdsworth was a fringe NRL player and has never played representative rugby but he's been great for Salford. Young English lads like Ratchford, Matty Smith and Sneyd are linking up brilliantly with him and probably learning lots in the process.
This guy could well be a great signing for Crusaders and help along some young Welsh lads. Maybe you should wait to find out before having a big, negative rant

I dont see many people being "Racist" against aussies though. I dont see anyone thinking british players are superior to Assies because of where they are from. I think the main issues that alot of people have is that they want to see our international team improve. And ,rightly or wrongly see Aussies as preventing some from getting there chance.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| NRL fringe player no international experience. So what your saying is these players shouldn't play superleague because try ain't good enough. Oh hang on I'm sure this reminds me of someone. Rangi Chase!! He had been out best player.
Stupid post.

| Or Weller Hauraki? He had only played 32 first grade games in 3 years before signing for Crusaders. Don't hear too many detractors to his contribution to Super League

Sam Moa is another who only made 2/3 NRL appearances, yet is one of Hull's best signings in recent years.

| Who would you suggest they sign? They don't have the players coming through their academy yet, they aren't an established or glamorous club as such. They have to be creative in their signings and unfortunately that means bringing in players who for one or another reason need a chance. I'm sure they'd like Benji Marshall, Sam Tomkins or Adrian Morley to sign for them, but they have to be realistic

Exactly, they check eligibility. The UKBA check with the RFL to ensure the player is eligible to play. What do you want the RFL to do? Lie to the UKBA?
