Workington Town - Derwent Park £450,000 upgrade
Derwent Park is getting a much needed £450,000 upgrade, so its ready to host the 2 World Cup Games, Work has already started. It will include structural refurbishment of the popular side of the ground; new seating in the grandstand; new floodlights; and “dramatic improvements” to the playing surface. A media box for TV crews, drugs testing facilities and an electronic scoreboard will also be installed.

Based at Craven Park? If so, that would be brilliant. Sort of a small sports village with loads of benefits to the community but also an opportunity for the club to use the facilities |
