All we are missing here is a few over-dramatic Hudds fans with a persecution complex. Oh, no, wait...

Not sure what you hoped to achieve by posting the lowest attendance at a challenge cup final since the return to Wembley, but it gave me a laugh....cheers icon_lol.gif

Quote: SIMMSFAXTEDDY "it was a poor crowd! get over it Hudd fans.

Those who attended i applaud, thoses who didnt and preffered to watch it on tv should be ashamed.

how many came to the Shay last year for your home game against the Welshies?

4892.

not the best that!'"

Quote: SIMMSFAXTEDDY "Top 2 side at home in a QF with Wembley at stake against a team from the same division is hard to compare with Wigan v Crusaders, but you would hope that a club of the calibre of Hudds has more than 2500 die hards to fall back on when times get tough, again.'"

Do I get a prize for being at all 3 games mentioned (plus Scorpions at Halifax where the Fax turn out was very unimpressive to be fair).

To be honest the Wigan v Crusaders game had a terrific atmosphere with both sets of each clubs noisiest fans in together and both making lots of noise and that should be what the cup is about to be fair.

Still going icon_smile.gif
i have a question,if our crowds are so bad that we are a disgrace, if our support is that much of a joke and embarrassing for the sport then where are the threads attacking us all season? Come on??

No thats right, one poor crowd in a competition reknowned for poor crowds and your all over us like a fly round ! You've all been waiting for this and my how your all lapping it up, im sure other clubs will post poor crowds in the next few months and im sure there will be as much bashing of that club on here! Oh yeah i forgot it only counts if its huddersfield lol sad acts, hope you're all ready at the keyboards for the magic weekend

Quote: meast "Still going I only joined in because, as usual, Londons lack of away fans popped up.
Sorry.

I have always said that Huddersfield Giant were to be applauded for growing their crowds, no matter how they did it.

BTW.......P&G, the worlds largest advertiser, believe that a consumer is a consumer for the first 6 times they purchase a product.......but the 7th time they buy it, they become a CUSTOMER. P&G will spend heavily to get you to the 7th purchase stage, then spend more wisely and more often retaining you.

Not saying the giants cheap ST's are the way ahead, but once you get into the habit of buying one, a 10% increase year on year becomes easier to swallow......50 becomes 80 over 5 years.....and in 5 more years 130........and 210 5 years after that.

If you start off with 5,000 ST holders, your revenue of 250k would become 1 Million in 15 years.......300% growth over 15 seasons.....

But hey, back on thread.........this is Huddersfield and that gate was terrible icon_cool.gif

Think some of you blind idiots need to get a bit of knowledge about the Giants season tickets.......i've been a season ticket holder for years and only had a reduced one twice and have never paid £50 for it ....like i said, find out some facts 1st cos everytime one of you spouts out how we all get £50 tickets and do every year your way off the mark ............but hey, dont let that stop your sad childish little pokes at our fine, progressing club !!

Maybe I was just unlucky that you posted after me....or maybe you just didn't understand that I was explaining the LONG TERM BENEFITS of what Huddersfield were doing.
I believe 99 notes was the cheap ticket offer.....but like the "not one London fan turned up" post, it got lost in translation icon_cool.gif

Dont think anyone has a problem with the lack of london fans gutterfax, the KO time, the live tv put paid to that, massive thumbs up to any who did travel, our issue is that yes it was a poor crowd, i've yet to see a giants fan who has tried to defend it, but when all factors are taken into account the crowd although low was as bad as other clubs crowds, but ours is the only one getting slaughtered, like i said previously it was a one off cup game on a sunday night with no away support and live on tv, i would understand the if we posted crowds that poor every game but we dont, people are using this one gate to justify slagging off a club who have made massive improvements on and off the field, as for the ST's, i agree,we need to encourage these new supporters to keep coming back.

This victim mentality from the Hudds fans is a little pathetic. I've seen loads of threads on here slagging off other clubs' attendances. Get over yourselves.

We can if you like.

I suggest you start a new thread called "Giants take 1000 fans to France" and not deflect this thread from discussing the "Attendance at the Galpharm".

Actually, the vitriol from the likes of you is actually whats pathetic

Poor crowds for the cup are endemic - as they are for the playoffs
Do you have a constructive answer?

I think there must be an underlying thing here: why do other fans dislike Hudds Giants so much? One view is they're a plucky little (sort of) club who have fought back from the depths of our sport 20-odd years ago to being competitive and (sort of) successful. It's a view not many of us choose to take of them, me included - but why?
