Not wanting to interject possible optimism in the place of gloom, but is it at all possible that, once the various clouds of smoke blow away, we're going to end up with not one, but three Welsh teams, with one in SL at Wrexham, and two down in the valleys ?

I'll grant you there are some big ifs and buts in there, but if it does pan out that way, then even if CC go bust after a year in Wrexham, we'd still be better off than we were in Wales, and no worse off than we were last year even if we end up with just one CC team in the valleys, because they'll have more development years behind them.

Shouldn't we all be fairly happy if this is the outcome ?

Like Celtic previously, its going to come down to how much money people are prepared to invest in these clubs. Say like what you like about Leighton Samuels, but without Samuels, surely Celtic wouldn't have even got this far?

If the Wrexham club go bust after a year, South Wales maybe left with two clubs akin to London Skolars - that is unless someone has a few million to chuck at them. In the long term RL will only be sustainable if either a) they find a long term generous owner such as Ken Davy or b) they get the crowds to be self sustaining.
