I don’t understand the desperation for Toronto to fail.
This attitude, mainly from Leigh fans, could be one of the reasons some take a disliking to Leigh.

Toronto will succeed or fail on the pitch this year, as it should be. Anything that changes this is just plain wrong.

The "dislikes" of Leigh here are probably countable on the digits of one hand.

I don't see what Toronto have brought to the game in two seasons! Other than a ticket across the pond. New York,Boston now historical projects.

The initial hype showed promise,that all seems dead in the water now. I agree they deserve a chance if they do it on the park.

Clubs with 100 years start on Toronto will still be here whether Toronto make it or not.

The main thing with expansion, includes expanding that seems a non starter at present.

Couldn't care less. As long as my side stays up. Though I did enjoy the championship and it's strange quirks last year (playing games at 3pm on a Sunday, what are they thinking). But I'd like us to stay in SL for abit longer.

As for this clubs not doing anything for x number of years. Which is wrong but hey ho.
Perhaps you should be thanking them for keep the sport going that long so that the expansion clubs had something to join.

Well I’m led to believe Magic Weekend has been signed off for New York next year.

The response form UK fans will interesting if it’s true. No confirmation from the RFL yet.

Of course there isn’t, they’ll release it the month before.

Good luck trying to get fans to pay for Magic Weekend tickets, a trip to New York and all that comes with, Wembley Tickets, Grand Final tickets, international tickets, club season tickets. And that's just rugby league related. A much more affordable and beneficial overseas venture would be to hold it in France.

But what about the times we play in Australia loads of supporters go from all clubs so if and it’s a big if they announced it early they would get people to go from all clubs

NYC is a bit more expensive than NSW, bad idea.

Isn't the idea of having the Magic Weekend in NYC to expose the game to new fans, rather than asking UK based fans to travel?

Well, a big part of what makes the Magic Weekend successfull is the fact that fans of all clubs can mingle together in one stadium. Do you think each club would take the same amount of support over to NY that they do to Manchester/Newcastle etc?

International friendlies like Denver are probably the best for American ventures, you wouldn't therefore inconvenience a lot of clubs and supporters. The World Cup Series also would be better served over there than Magic Weekend.

Agree about linternationals being better, maybe hold a 4 nations over there.
Would also take the WCC over there. Especially the current 3 game system. Hold it in 3 cities close together.

But we all know these things are about how much money can be got out of these even'ts and not about promoting the sport.
