Also, lizzy jones was the star turn of the night along with the young lad who won the hellen rollison award, he was an inspiration.'"
A big plus one to every single word of that. Thank you to all the supporters of other clubs who voted for Kev.

Couldn't agree more, said he would win from the start. There are many halfwits out there... Amazing placing for Kev though, brilliant advert for the game and bbc being positive about rugby league for once!

Probably tennis fans, in recognition that he spearheaded a Davis Cup win for G.B. the first time for nigh on eighty years.
Great effort from R.L fans though, surprisingly putting aside parochial alliances for once & with Lizzy Jones pulling off an incredible performance it’s certainly done the profile of the game no harm.

"The Golden Generation finally has its Golden Fleece! They have Wembley Cup Final winners medals to add to their collection."

| Switched over to the red button channel afterwards which was backstage at the event. Steve Bunce made a great comment, he mentioned that over the last several years of this event that when someone is nominated from a smaller sport in terms of profile compared to some of the others that they always say that they're going to vote heavily to get their person into the top 3 but come the event they never do. Rugby League said the same this time but actually backed it up and praised the sport for doing so. Also interviewed Lizzie Jones who came across really well and they were full of admiration for her bottle to sing that particular song.

BBC were having fun weren't they cutting to Greg Rutherford a couple of times when Fury was interviewed and then cutting to Fury when Ennis Hill was collecting her award.
Can you imagine if he'd have been in the top 3 instead of Sinfield, when it came time to shake the hands of the guys and kiss the cheek of the women on stage it would've been an awkward spot when he came to Ennis-Hill and Clare Balding.

Yep. It just depresses me slightly that there are such pillocks willing to support someone with such ridiculous and horrible views. You sort of think these kind of views have been slowly eradicated over the last few decades, but then a Tyson Fury or a Nigel Farage or a Nick Griffin pops up every now and again and bring the ted out of the woodwork.

| Actually, I consider Samuel Burgess of Dewsbury should have been the rightful SPOTY winner.

| Fair result for me, Murray different persona when he plays for Great Britain, brilliant for Sinfield to get so many votes, thought Mo would have been in the top 3. Lizzy put the icing on the cake for the RL exposure.
