Always nice to see Elder Ratboy get his knickers in a twist and Phil Clarke need a change of underpants when it gets a little too much for him. The Bradford Tourette is also good value for laughing at, though how he could be penalised for interference when he was stood waiting for his giro was a poor call. It was funny to see the officials fabricating evidence to keep the Aussie on after his "Ah Van" smash, but what do you expect from such cheats. All in all it's a good night when Wigan suffer.'"
I would suggest Leeds were suffering more through not even taking part.

| I don't think the gap is that big. The problem tonight was Wane's lunatic recruitment strategy.
He's hopelessly overbalanced on mobility over power.
Brisbane's forwards have probably never made easier yardage. They must be wondering whether they were packing down against centres.

| Some very bitter fans in the world of Rugby League isn't there? Absolutely no way will I be wanting the Aussies to beat Saints tomorrow, and anyone with that sort of mentality needs to give their head a wobble. But then this is the community of fans who boo at England games isn't it?

Nah we've played in 6 of them in the last 10 years in games that actually mattered who won, actually won some of them too......you must not remember what that is like over there
Would rather we hadn't knackered our team out in an important season with the new Top 4 format for a friendly......history suggests the WCC games catch up with the English sides at some point during the year, whether it be soon after or years end.

I dunno, had Burgess not made that awful error in front of the sticks the game had every chance of finishing 12-6 in our favour, regardless of our pack size.
It will be interesting to see the stats because we made 40+ metres per set on a number of occasions.

No, it was a "win, win". Two teams you don't like knocking pony out of one another in a friendly.

Taking part in an exhibition game? No chance would rather the players have the week off if I'm 100% honest.

| As a match of "THE GREATEST GAME ON EARTH" (which should be trademarked) it was excellent entertainment as was the game between wire and the dragons.
If you believe differently, I suggest that Rugby League is not the sport for you.

| Went to the game supporting the British dog in the fight and enjoyed it for what it was - a tough, intense battle.
Both sides lacking a bit of timing but showing plenty of bottle.
Have enjoyed both games, hope tomorrow is also in the balance with five minutes to play but fear the worst.

I wouldn't have watched anything else tonight. It was funny watching the baboon bouncing around in his cage when his windy full back copped one in the mush. I thought the broadcast had switched to Knowsley Safari park.

It did. But Brisbane won in spite of themselves. Their halves were awful. Shocking. And the outside backs should give their winning money to the forwards.
This was not a good Brisbane team and Wigan will be kicking themselves.

As you did in the Grand Final. But how many yards were made in the centre corridor against Brisbane's big guys?
It would be great to always go forward through the centre and wing channels. Unfortunately the risks are prohibitive. Route 1 mightn't stir the blood. But it's low-risk and effective.
After the first half Brisbane knew they possessed total forward dominance. Henceforth they cut out the errors and stuck to the basics. All things being equal they knew they'd spend more time in Wigan's half of the field. Which is why they weren't all that annoyed when the first - and then the second - drop goal missed. They knew they were making five yards more per carry each set of six and unless Wigan resorted to high-risk rugby (which would likely fail, anyway) they'd get another shot - and then another.

Which still isn't bad given were all running on half the cap size ... Given certain posters on here and elsewhere have written off the Middle 8s for the exact same reason, maybe this will give them hope...
