I like the idea of the knights v france and the exiles game as a double header

So that the home nations have a bit more quality when we play them. As if Bridgey would play for Ireland every time when they know they arent going to be playing the Aussies and NZ.

I dont usually like it, but im sure the home nations matches dont really matter to the top players anyway. Its more about building the game, and building up some of the younger players.

At least its not a Viankolo, Hape or Fa'savalu style nation changes

But Bridge did play for Ireland then when he realised that he would never be able to play competitively against aus and NZ he opted to play for England. the same with harrison and now Brough. Evans has thrown his lot in with England without representing wales despite being born there in the hope that he will be picked to play for England in the future. wales have lost a good player who might never even pull on an england shirt. he could have opted to play for wales knowing that in the 4 Nations if he was good enough he could have been called up to the GB squad.

Losing GB means that for a lot of players it is now England or bust.

But Brough, Bridge, Evans and maybe even Harrison have all switched to England already. And you can bet the others would if they were in with a chance. These players choose a Celtic nation when they are no hope of playing for England but soon change when they suddenly become good enough to play for England.

the difference is here players choose to switch because the aussies & kiwis refuse to tighten the laws allowing players to switch...hey if you can "loan" players out to the islands and call them back when you need them then we can "loan" players out to the celts

until the GB squad contains at least 3,4,5 genuine welsh (like evans) or scotsmen (not like brough) (forget ireland they want nowt to do with GB)...then GB is pointless!
