Fully agree mate. Low scoring games with big defence are very entertaining IMO

Quote: roversmad "Why?'"

Because they were the better team throughout and were penalised alot more than Leeds.

Leeds got away with more than Wigan.

Sorry my mistake, they deserved it icon_rolleyes.gif What was they meant to do, run to the south stand?

If Hull fans had done that on live BBC, there would be an entire thread dedicated to it.

Any Fringe watchers here? Reckon he's from another parallel universe. In the game I was watching Wigan took the lead, Leeds equalised, Wigan took the lead, Leeds equalised etc...

Obviously in the other universe Wigan took an early lead and only lost the lead in the last minute. Did the players manage to keep hold of the ball in that universe?

Quote: Dave Lister "Excellent game.

Nice to see a referee take control of things and actually penalise offending teams for once rather than watching 80 minutes of infringements, maybe the teams will take note eventually.'"
]

The holding on and offside pens i don't have a problem with, but those pens when the ball carrier was holding the tackler's arm and he gave them the penalty where absolutely ridiculous...

How was it flukey? Smith made people miss and got to the line with half the Wigan team on his back. Games are 80 minutes as far as I understand.

Quote: El Pac Carnegie "So basically we should run the ball all the time when the weather is horrendous and the ball is akin to a bar of soap? We scored one try to Wigans zero and bombed a great chance for another. I really don't understand these complaints. It was like a GF. Kick the 2's when they are available as the weather isn't too great.'"

Why take it from one extreme to the other? There were times when (IMO) you should have ran the ball e.g. When Wigan were down to 12 and when the kicks were so close to halfway, like you said before you had no field position.

I hope to see some consistency from this point, any tackles on the kicker should be met with a yellow card, kicking out in the tackle is perfectly legal, doubly so if you connect with someone's face.

I'm in the same universe as you pal. Think he's in the bitter universe. Getting all excited thinking Leeds were going out only for us to take one of the two big chances we had. Obviously in this parallel universe games are decided with 30 seconds to go and everyone just has a chat for the remaining time.
