But it appears the ringmaster has fled ship over to the other code, and it may not be the first time he has pulled a stunt like this if the AFLs investigation on St Kilda provides evidence. |

No, read the first two paragraphs in that link. Then check the date and bear in mind Australia are about 10/11 hours ahead of us.
The Melbourne Rebels board of directors took the decision to ask Waldron to step aside [iafter[/i David Gallop's press conference announcing the stripping of the honours Melbourne achieved over the past three years. |

It got a half page in the paper and 2/3 page in the sports section of the Dominion Post here in wellington with half of that an article on the bookies reaction. I am sure the Auckland rag covered it with more depth.
It is an important news story as other sports look at the cap as a way of managing their competitions.
I have asked the question on another board, but is $500k a big fine realy? I know they have to find another $1.1 million, but is the fine big enough? Leeds wouldn't be too adversely affected if fined 500k........
