1. Shaun Briscoe
2. Peter Fox
3. Martin Gleeson
4. Lee Gilmour
5. Ryan Hall
6. Danny McGuire
7. Rob Burrow
8. James Graham
9. Scott Moore
10. Gareth Carvell
11. Jamie Peacock
12. Gareth Ellis
13. Sean O'Loughlin
14. James Roby
15. Adrian Morley
16. Sam Burgess
17. Ben Westwood'"
I'd go with something similar. The only issue I have is the lack of a kicker both in general play and goalkicking. I'd possibly have Morley starting with Fa'asavalu on the bench instead of Carvell, but apart from that the team looks our strongest.
I'm not sure on Brisoce at full back, but I'm sure he'll get the nod. Pryce can always fill in there aswell, but it's not ideal.

McGuire, Burrow and O'Loughlin can all kick in general play and, very usefully, so can Moore from dummy half
Goalkicking is a worry but the only player I can think of that would be near to the team with a strong goalkicking record is Sinfield and while he is a great club player I don't think he has made the step up to International class... Burrow will have to do

| How many times do you have to give the same players a run before you realize they will never step up because they are not good enough?
I mean, do you seriously want to see what Inglis, Folau, Hodges, Hayne and the like will do to Rob Burrow when he is parked out wide in defense?

| I'd play Eastmond at 7 before Burrow again. How many times has he failed at International level?

All of them!
I'd rather see a bunch of young Poms giving it a go and knowing they are not up to it than the same old losers trotted out and wondering why the result never changes.
I mean honestly, should Paul Wellens have THAT many test caps?

tbf Inglis and Folau couldnt do a job on him in 2008.
Id rather see Myler or Eastmond given a crack anyway.
Eastmond will turn out the player Burrow wants to be, much better prospect.

| try as i might i cant think of a back who would make the aussie squad.even if we match the forwards they have more creative talent, size & speed in their backs to beat us.i'd select a young squad(with a handful of experienced players) so they can see first hand what level they have to aspire to,n hope they develop accordingly.mistakes would be made but its a learning curve

Wellens should be finished at international level after how he did at the World Cup. This tournament should be the start of looking towards the next world cup so the likes of Atkins, Shenton, Fox and Westerman should be given more England experience.

| Give some of the young ones a chance, Owen at Full Back, Tomkins at Stand Off and Eastmond on the bench. They would come back in superleague as better players for the experience.

What?
Did you watch the World Cup?
We're still scoring tries!

You don't match us in the forwards. What are you, stupid!
And your backs, they would be flat out making NRL squads.....or the Kiwi's squad.....or the Tongan and Samoan squad!

I was referring to the game at Elland road where Burrow handed Folau his ass back to him on the way out.
Still, Myler at 7 for me this year.

WTF!
You know, if you have made up some supposed thing Burrow did against Folau, fine. Picked him based on that!

| What concerns me more than the make up of the sides is the different interpretation of the rules in the Northern and Southern hemispheres.
Our play of the ball was very fast (a bit too quick for my liking) but we just could not adapt fast enough to the lay on marathon of the world cup.
The Aussies realised that a faster play of the ball makes for a better game so post world cup they speed up play.
What lessons do we learn? Turn RL into WWF.
I just hope the forthcoming 4 nations is not a refereeing farce.
