| This happened today vs Celtic.
It was early in the second half and Celtic were on the attack in Wigan's 20, they messed it up with a knock on and, after waiting to see if there was any advantage from a Wigan point of view, Ganson blew his whistle.
The lady behind me shouted: "Oh that's right Ganson, we're winning so try and keep them in the game!"
He signalled it was Wigan's ball and then she shouted: "You're [is[/ihite, Ganson!"

| Many, many years ago, Wigan v Oldham at Central Park.
Eric Ashton put Billy Boston in space about 30 yards out.
Boston had only Bernard Ganley to beat. As Boston pounded towards the line Ganley produced the perfect sidestep and "just" missed Billy. To cap it off Ganley then produced a great dive to again just miss Billy as Boston cantered under the posts.
Priceless.

Gerraway, everyone of us at every game, once we know the ball isn't going to hit us, we all track the ball in the hope that something similar to what you and your old fella saw happens.

| I remember widnes playing Bradford northern at naughton park in 1989. 2 Bradford players were wrestling paul hulme to the ground, 1 went to punch paul hulme, missed him and smacked his team mate by mistake.

| OK, not at a game, but before squad numbers came in big time, Leeds did a range of t-shirts with players numbers on them 13 Hanley etc.
I bagged on cheap for my holidays with 1 - Tait on the back.
After a week of walking around a Greek Island and having the Scandanvians point & giggle (well, more than usual at me), I asked one of them what was so funny ....
Apparently 'Tait' or a word very similar in Swedish is their eqivalent of 'P*llock'
Bin for that shirt then.
