Most of them already at a good quality too.
I have no qualms about Wigan signing 3 overseas players, the work they do on bringing youngsters in is already fantastic so to add quality like this to the squad only bodes well for the future development of these players. Tomkins could become a world class player within the next two seasons with what he will pick up from Finch, I don't think Leaguefan will be impressed though.

| Exciting times to be a Wigan fan.
I agree with some comments above that i personally dont think Wigan will win anything this season, it has been shown over the last few weeks with games against Saints & Wire where we have come up short!
But from the state that we where in last season, i am more than pleased with the progress.
Next year we should be the real deal. MM was always going to use his Melbourne connections and why not? We have brought over 3 great players that will not only improve Wigan, but they are also major signing for the game in the UK, Three proven NRL players at the ages of 28/26/27. Not our usual signings in the 30+ region.

Hopefully Saints can build on our signing of Perry with a bit more recruiting (and get Soliola fit) and we can have some real ding-dongs again next year.

I'm really looking forward to all the games between Wigan, St Helens and Warrington next year. Great to see the power shifting ti the right side of the pennines.

The match at KR last year in the rain where Eastmond slid over toward the end was a real turning point in the class of our derby - lots of local lads bashing each other in a really hard fought game. That's what RL is all about for me.

Don't worry about a jinx. Perry will add a lot to your pack, Soliola will be like a new signing and the probable arrivals of LMS ans Shenton means you will be up there. Warrington have a good settled side and have the experience of a CC win and will be up there next year. I'm really excited about wigans side next year, the new signings will really beef our pack up. Barring any major injury crisis all 3 should be in the top 4 next year.

That would be 14 Wigan academy trained players that have played this year then.

That's good but you can give Cas credit for Tuson. We gave him the experience.

| Whats more dissapointing is the fact Hoffmans deal is only for 1 year. Nice payday for yet another Aussie.

| Don't get me wrong they're all three good players but some of you are getting way ahead of yourself, these signings msut be the best all year' three excellent' singings etc;
Brett Finch is average at best, Hoffman is somebody I like and think he has performed well with Melbourne, Lima not seen enough of him to comment. Out of the three I'd say Hoffman is the best signing there however I have to disagree with the best signings this year.
I think the Saints signing of Josh Perry is a wonderful signing and probabaly the best this year, as a watcher of NRL this guy is very good and you will see this next year.
Also what about the contract extensions of Michael Monaghan and Chris Hicks at Warrington, both been excellent this year, Hicks can finish from almost anywhere whilst Monas is rated one of the best hookers in the league, and possibly a darkhorse for the MOS award.
They're good signings but Josh Perry is a better player than Lima and Hoffman, Finch is different posistion and is average at best.

No,it's clever thinking from the Wigan club as the future of Gareth Hock will be decided in the year that Hoffman is here.
