| To give Taia that try after Grace blatantly knocked on is ridiculous! Time to stop this try/no try nonsense

If a ref thinks he knows what’s happened he should give the decision, if he’s not he should send it upstairs.
All this total guessing by the refs, sending the guess upstairs and then the VR having to prove a guess wrong... is madness!

I agree, surely it was either a try by Grace or a knock on by Grace, how can they give a try for Taia after Grace touched it?

Nope, never escaped my attention. Anyways, beaten easily by a saints team resting plenty tonight and normal service resumed. Fortunately for Leeds they’re now safe so it doesn’t matter.

Why do people take a drum to a rugby league game???
You can’t take a bottle of water into some grounds but it’s alright to turn up with the the percussion section of an orchestra?

Welsby having an off week this week, seems leeds have reviewed the London tape.
Saints are missing our tacklers in the pack, but mostly missing a decent kicking game.'"
I think the start is what killed it for us.
We wasted several sets early in the first half that if we’d played properly instead of chucking the ball out wide at every opportunity we may have ground Saints down and not let them gain in confidence.
Have to say though, Saints are mightily impressive. Their speed and passing is superb. The way they moved the ball exhausted us. We had a hand in our own downfall and are better than what we showed tonight but Saints defence was strong and their attack was incisive and relentless with options all over the place for Fages and Lomax.

I said on Twitter it was a tale of two coaches. At half time, Leeds were arguably the team on top. You were offloading at will and causing us a lot of problems. But Agar at half time tells them to stop throwing it about and stop making mistakes. You then seem incapable of moving the ball up the field and just collapsed under the pressure we applied. Holbrook clearly knew what he thought was missing from our performance in the first half, Agar just had a mare.
I think if he tells them to just keep it going Leeds would have stood a far better chance. I think Saints superior fitness and you being a prop down might eventually have told, but the game was made easy by whatever happened in the shiny new sheds at half time.

See I honestly think it’s the opposite. I think it’s because we were throwing it about and not applying any pressure whatsoever in the first 20 mins that gave Saints the opening they needed.
We were very poor with the ball in the first 20mins and not much better after that. Yes the ball was going wide but it was stilted and unthreatening because we hadn’t done the hard yards first and that told as the game went on.

St Helens have recruited wisely from the NRL, unlike some other Super League clubs, including Leeds.

Thought the offloads didn't have a lot of impact because of the disciplined Saints defence, that left Leeds losing some composure and forcing the ball too much, Saints just stayed patient and waited for their opportunities to come their way. That last 10 mins was difficult for Saints with so many inexperienced players finding it tough to keep going.

| Not at all surprised to see the centre playing opposite Hurrell bag himself a hat-trick. Not all Konrad's fault obviously, but my god his defending and defensive reads are atrocious.

So what your saying Jean is that apart from the odd exception SL clubs should not waste there/their/they're money on Antipodean players as most of them fail to impress.

Yep. Leeds needed to keep composure and play through some high quality grinding sets rather than trying to magic a try.
