| Jean do you only look at French and players that used to be from the NRL. I only ever see big up a group of players if they are coming from the NRL. Surely you have noticed some good signings from super league. I am a Leeds fan so I will no include my club (although we haven't made any superleague signings) but what I believe are two top quality good signings being Daryl Clark to Warrington(stand out) and Craig Huby to Huddersfield. Maybe in Scott Taylor to Salford if his head is in the right place. Sneyd if he doesn't bottle the big matches was very good in the not as bigger games IMO. You ignore these and big up basically nearly all NRL signings.
Some are very good Carney(I am certain he will shoot himself in the foot). Ashton Sims big fan of his. Seemed to be the best prop on the pitch when I saw the two matches against the Rabbitohs but openly said it was the best rugby he had played in a season. The rest to me in matches I saw were hardly standout players. Some I like to watch Ben Roberts but only really found decent form second half of last season. Dobson has proven very good in super league but has not cracked the NRL. Although was reserve grade best half. Mark Minichello I like watching but has reached the age where he maybe potentially injury plagued. Not many of the rest seem to stand out to me.
Also how are Catalans guaranteed top four when their away form was diabolical until the play offs?

Terence Campese has been named captain of the Hull KR, leading an impressive NRL contingent that includes the likes of Albert Kelly, Maurice Blair, Kenneth Sio, Joshua Mantellato, Michael Weyman and Mitchell Allgood. Added to that contingent is the impressive French backrower Kevin Larroyer.
Campese is a creative stand off, and the perfect complement to the mercurial Albert Kelly. Can Hull KR now put pressure on the likely Big Four of 2015
you are the French version of Bernard Manning, you are SO funny !

I am a big fan of the Clark Man. He will be a big element in Warrington's run for silver ware. I have said before that Warrington, with Sims, Hill and Clark has the best starting front row.
Cas without Clark drop out of the Top 8 IMO, leaving a spot for Hull KR.
The rest of the English transfers are not very important.

Don't count on Carney shooting himself in the foot. If his former Cronulla teammate Ben Pomeroy has half a brain he will look after the Todd Man and keep him off the drink.

I expect that Catalans 2014 finals run with away victories against Leeds and Huddersfield will have boosted their self confidence for away games. Plus a fit and in form Todd Carney will make up the difference of a hostile away crowd.

| I think the rest of SL are safe as long as the 2 Hull clubs hold on to their respective coaches.

| Albert Kelly is a liability - he has one good game in ten. Looking forward to how a crocked Campese will cover up Kelly's undoubted failings

He writes things simply to draw attention to himself. The same reason he writes the players names the way he does; he just wants a reaction. He is either very bored or very lonely. Or both.

This.
Also HKR lack the squad depth needed. They'll be in the middle 8 IMO.

There may be an equally good chance that Benjamin Pomeroy joins him in the bar.

| These types of threads will be great to look back on come the end of July.
Ask most people this time last season if they thought Cas would finish in the top4 and make a CC Final, having finished 12th the year before. You wouldn't have found many takers.
I'm not saying specifically that Hull KR will finish top4, just that the gap between the top teams and the lower teams isn't as wide as some might think, and teams that are well coached, fighting for eachother and have their best players on form are capable of finishing high up the table, just like Cas did.

On a serious note, in what way have you based your opinion that Sa is better than Goulding? One pre season friendly? Or that Micheals is a far better player than Blair?

I never said Michaels was far better than Blair. In fact I never said anything of the sort. Tbh I don't know enough about either of them to make an informed comment.
As for Sa. He was a very good centre before he went to union, and has played for NZ. He's a big guy, decent pace, good hands and a handful for any defence. Towards the back end of last season he was showing signs of his pre Union form. The friendly isn't a good indicator given the opposition.
My opinion of Goulding is that he's a decent centre. Handling is good, but he offers little athletically. He's nearly 4st lighter and 5" shorter than Sa, and he's hardly a speed merchant. I feel he is a steady player who has often been made to look better by the quality of his Wigan team mates. The same goes for Josh Charnley.

How long ago was he was a good centre at Catalan? I saw plenty of threads on your board regarding his poor fitness and lack of impact, didn't he play games in the SR for you also? Please don't over exaggerate how good Sa is because you don't actually know.

It took him a while to get going yes. But having spent a year playing Union (and not playing very often) that is expected, and yes he played his first few games at SR, mainly because we wanted to ease him in and give him minutes off the bench and it's pointless using one of your interchanges on a centre.
I'm not really exaggerating how good he is. Is he a big guy? By any standards he is. Has he got decent pace? Well he's not blinding but he can shift for his size. Has he got good hands? Yes. Is he a handful? Well check out the highlights from the KC derby last year. Your lads certainly couldn't stop him.
Anyway. I am happy with Sa, and I don't particularly rate Goulding. How about you tell me why Goulding is so good?
