If Catalans was to buy Carney, then who would they drop? Carney is a five eighth/stand off. But Leon Pryce is playing well. And if they moved Pryce to centre then they would have to drop either "My Cousin Vinnie" (Duport) or "Pomegranite" Ben Pomeroy. I can't see that happening.

Carney would transform London if they could also find a couple of good props. But the Chairman is a goose.

I'd imagine his contract is reliant on not being drunk in the media. Given his previous it's understandable, so I can understand why cronulla sacked him, but I'm not sure I get the uproar about it - sure, not my cup of tea but I've seen others doing far worse in university!

Honestly ,Go to any team in the country , pro ,semi pro ,or amateur there will be similar photos of the lads ( or lasses ) doing daft stuff after a few beers , a good win and a few beers with their mates under their belt .......Carney might have been an idiot , and had he posted the pic himself then fair do's but someone else who he had no control over posting it ..sorry don't get that at all....

He had been given two warnings at the Sharks for his behaviour already, and that was with I think three more years of his contract to go. The guy is 30 isn't he? So not exactly a student doing dumb stuff. What he did was gross and I would imagine not good for the image of the club or the sport. That someone else took the picture was irrelevant. If you're going to drink your own urine in a public loo then you get what you deserve. He's got what he deserved.

I really hope he doesn't end up in Superleague. We have our own plonkers to worry about without inheriting the NRL's.
