Throw in the RFL's inability to promote anything (Look at today's farce as an example) and we'll see a repeat of the last tournament in this country. Low crowds, a financial mess and no real benefit for the sport at all.'" You're not going because you think the tournament will have low crowds and not turn a profit? Even by your standards, this is completely backwards. What's more alarming is that two people actually agreed with your post.

Black Backgrounds/Zoot.gif Freedom for supporters of the government, only for members of one party - however numerous they may be - is no freedom at all. freedom is always and exclusively for one who thinks differently.

| Bit early to say, but the quarter final at Wrexham's pencilled in - a lot will depend on dates and times.

Some of you are huffing at the fixtures, the venues. OK, they may not be the most appealing but that's no reason to withdraw your support. I'm sure some of the lesser rated teams will put on a great spectacle. I watched Canada, Jamaica, the USA and South Africa play last year and I enjoyed every bloody minute of it. Those boys gave it everything they had as I'm sure the teams competing in this tournament will do.
Just realise how lucky you are to have the World Cup on your doorsteps and get yourselves out there to support the sport you love and the players that are trying to spread the word and grow RL all over the globe.
Rant Over.'"
The RU and Soccerball world cups involve teams that can't win the tournament, yet the games are sold out. RL is better to watch, and cheaper to watch than both of these sports.

This is hard to argue with.
Unless I win the lottery between now and the World Cup I doubt I will be able to make more than 2 games. God knows why England vs Oz is in Wales. These fixtures are awful for me as I live in the North East.

1230.gif “You are playing a game of football this afternoon but more than that you are playing for England, and more even than that, you are playing for right versus wrong. You will win because you have to win. Don’t forget that message from home. England expects every one of you to do his duty.”:1230.gif |

| I went to two in 2000 and ten in 2008, doubt i'll go to that many in 2013 even with the double headers but it will depend on prices and where I live at the time
I think the tournament structure is wrong, the fixtures shouldn't have been outside England and Wales and there are two many teams
What with the lack of promotion and RLIF/RFL organisation we can expect some poor crowds and loss making, but as usual I will be there to see my dreams crushed, same as every year (except when the Southern Hemisphere decides it wants a year off)

Correct.
I couldn't wait for the 4 Nations, and loved it, the RLWC is far far bigger than that. Really hope these negative people don't ruin it for everyone, they were the same for the 4N's, which were a success.

| Did the double header at Wembley last year me and my mate took our lads that play in the same rugby team together. Fantastic day out, got the tickets early £10 each which was a bargain. I drove down, so no bar bill and even with fuel was cheap as chips. I can't understand all those that knock international rugby. Probably the same ones that complain about the relatively low profile of the international game, and then can't be d watching it even at a knock down price.
I'm hoping to go to Cardiff for the England v Aus game which is going to be a double header.

Perhaps you could take over the marketing campaign. As a prolific poster on here I’m assuming you are a fan of the game. Yet all you can do is point out the negatives in anything that is done to promote our game. How is the sport to move forward with people like you nocking every progressive move. The attendances at such events may improve if you stopped complaining and got of your and went to a game, who knows you may even enjoy it.
So over to you; It’s all so crap, what would you do?
