| It should be a great day.
Wales-Kiwis as the main event then England-Australia as a decent quality warm down afterwards.

So whats the reason for the heartlands not going to London in droves? Dont believe England can win? Not interested in National side?

| it is so true about SOME (NOT ALL) northern people (me being a northerner sort of) being very narrow minded and negative. Look england will more than likely lose tomorrow but thats no reason why you shouldn't support them as if you act like you dont care you wont be bothered. Union have terrible club attendences its the international stage what keeps them going something that if league can have then no more being looked down uppon and the best talent cherry picked.

Thats good going if true.'"
Good stuff.
Now if only the so called heartlands fans would back it we'd be sweet!
As it is though there will be thousands of people in the North of England sat watching it on the TV tomorrow slagging off the crowd and saying what a failure it is when infact it's a huge success.

Well i don't really follow it but i do like to see how owen farrell is doing and on the few occassion's i have watched a game it doesn't look very big. certainly not 16k average like wigan's so where do they get the money to support the players wages? to me it must be the RFL rake it in on international's
here's to england performing to an on watching nation.

Really? Australia and new zealand are good at rugby league, therefore around 20% of aussies and kiwis in london like rugby league and will go to the game? are 20% of the english population going to the game too? not all aussies and kiwis are mad about sport in general and rugby league in particular.

We are in a recession, Christmas is just over the horizon this is a family sport where family comes first. To go to Wembley is going to cost a family £200+ that is a lot of money for a game of rugby. I appreciate soccer fans put soccer before anything thankfully RL fans have a bit more perspective.

More like half that figure, of all the poor excuses made for not attending that one stands out when tickets are only a tenner
People aren't going because they don't want to go and that is a worrying thought

| Whatever the crowd is it'll be bigger than it would have been up north. London internationals always are.

Aye, that's the bottom line.
No doubt attending wembley is more expensive than travelling to a ground oop North but when we couldn't even fill Leigh's modest ground slap bang in the middle of the heartland we can't object to a game being played at the national stadium.
People attend games that seem like big events (hence the reason that 30 or 40 thousand neutral fans go to the CC final at Wembley every year). Playing an international at a modest ground in the heartlands doesn't seem like an event.
