| I think Leon Pryce has got more to worry about than Lomax.

| A Quote: pmack17 "This is precisely the reason why we have a lack of options for the England across the board.
Jonny Lomax is just getting settled in the No.7 jersey and looks awesome and then they go and sign a Kiwi to play in his position next season.'"
Leon is out of contract this year so its more likely to be him that leaves, Jonny will stay and get a starting spot in the team.

| Personally I rate the Huntley Hurricane, good signing. OTOH another overseas signing <sigh>

| At least it's a top class signing rather than the dross that we used to sign up a few years back. I'd assume that Meli will be off at the end of the season? Which leaves Saints overseas players as Soliola, Perry, Hohaia, Flannery and Puletua.
Compare that to 2005 when it was Gray Viane, Maur'ie Fa'asavalu, Darren Albert, Vinnie Anderson, Jason Hooper and Willie Talau.

| Not a very good player, and old. And a four-year contract. I reckon if we signed him, we'd be slated.

Give over, he would have been a great signing for Widnes.
Whether he's a good signing for Saints depends on where we play him - don't rate him as a 7 and would rather Lomax was given the shirt.

We got excellent value out of Albert, Fa'asavalu, Hooper and Talau to be fair.
Our overseas players currently stand at Perry, Puletua, Meli, Flannery and Soliola, but Puletua and Flannery are both OOC so one or both may leave.
Eastmond is already leaving, Graham may leave and Pryce is OOC too.
Hohaia is a very good signing IMO and has been an NZ international for 10 years. You've got to be happy with a signing like that.

Meli is in contract next year, the OOC overseas are Puletua and Flannery. I'd hope we retain Puletua and I think it may be Flannery who is leaving. We do however have plenty quota spotsw available due to the Kolpak passport system, Meli and Puletua don't count.

| Infact Soliola is also classed as 'overseas trained', so our only current quota players are Perry and Flannery.

I imagine Hohia will come in and play alongside either gaskell or lomax for a year, then move to full back when Wello's contract is up (end of 2012), leaving the two youngsters to fill the halves.

Irony anyone?
34 year old Darren Lockyer offered a contract by Widnes and no doubt itd have been larger than what Hohaia is going to be on.
Cue the Lockyer is better than Hohaia.
