You appear to be the only Halifax fan spouting off despite the fact that your club can't even claim to have suffered an injustice. With that in mind I would also advise you to get a grip.

| Two teams that won their league comp didn't intially get in, yet one team that won a trophy that no one really cares about got in. Only in RL. An professional sport run by amateurs.

| Get from up your own ar$e tb and realise that such viewpoints would have been held regardless of today's decision. Widnes have fulfilled the criteria asked of them and I wish them the very best of luck, but it still doesn't do the credibility of the sport any good that a side can be promoted in to the top flight without even threatening to be league champions.

| Quote: Hopie "Halifax met the criteria, if they are not "promoted" in July then it confirms there are more clubs meeting the criteria than places available and there should be a return to annual semi-automatic promotion and relegation'"
How do you or I know that Halifax do not have a better application than the SL clubs? It will be done behind closed doors as usual and some excuse made up. If we are going to have the Licence thing then it would be good to have it all in the open wit each club marked on good and bad. At the end of the day there is little between some of the applicants and will be down to opinion.

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity
Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike
SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!:9005.jpg |

| It is inconcievable that the RFL declare that the club coming up needs an extra 4 months to prepare to go into SL , and then put another one in with 4 months less to prepare

Why is there a difference between the Championship and Super League clubs?
The RFL believes that a Championship club who is awarded a licence will benefit from having a greater period of preparation before entry to the 2012 Super League. On that basis it has been decided that the successful Championship club will have earned the opportunity to have this greater period of preparation, and announcing their licence in March 2011 allows them this time to prepare for the 2012 Super League season.'"
So its OK for Widnes to have extra time to build but if Fax get promoted we just have to try and find the scraps. Fantastic really. Two faced rubbish from Lewis & Woods. And please how the RFL will be fair and judge in July? Its all done behind closed doors and down to opinions rather than fact. It will not be done in the open and no explanations will be given as to why X or/and Y are not in SL in future.
You are a ignorant arrogant idiot TB. I hope your team gets kicked out of SL as you have been warned and still no new stadium

| Every club has known what was expected of them for how many years ?
Widnes have hit the criteria needed and had the strongest bid of all the teams involved.
I think it would have been a bigger shock if Halifax had been chosen over Widnes.
I understand your frustration but you can't start moaning now after the fact when it was almost inevitable widnes would be chosen.
You feel let down, welcome to Widnes' world, they've been shafted numerous times and i for one feel happy for them as they are finally on the receiving end of some good news.
Go back, lick your wounds and come back stronger next time round, it worked for Widnes.

I am sure you will be elated when halifax claw themselves off the bottom of the table, you need to concentrate on avoiding relagation first and foremost.

Little scenario here
Fax made the GF in 2009 , won it in 2010 , win the NRC and the GF this year , but then lose the next 2 NRC finals and miss out in the Championship semi's two years running , despite finisjing top of the league 3 years in a row
They arent allowed to apply

Them's the rules. It's up to Fax to win the Championship again. Life is hard i guess.
