| If you stop and think about it, this is terrible work by the stadium management. There are only 4 entrance points into the ground, one in each corner, each about 3 metres wide, plus the player tunnel. Would it have been that difficult to stack sand bags at each of these entrance points? I know it's a once in a 40 year phenomenon, but someone should have thought of these things.

icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.:icons077e_files/5454-3678dentheman-msnicons.jpg |

Even if they had would the natural water table not have resulted in the pitch getting flooded?

Read the utter BS in this so called article
www.smh.com.au/sport/football/ou ... 19rti.html
With guys like him being able to get anything they like printed, it's no wonder the country doesn't take his precious code seriously and we never will.
These types of people need to move to Europe where the game is big and they can revel in all its worldly glory.
W@nker of the highest order.

WTF? Absolute steal? This is for a club game, right? Charity aside, i'll bid 50 bucks if Tim picks me up from my house.

Backup from drainage was the main problem for the playing surface, so I understand.

| There was no way they could stop it happening bar concreting up the entrances.
Too much water and too little time to do anything about it.

Soccer fans are delusional about their sports global standing.
"Wherever you glance around the globe, football takes the lead."
With the exception of America, Canada, Venezuela, Guyana, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Panama, Virgin Islands, Hawaii, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, PNG(hell, lets say all the Pacific Islands), Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, India, China, Japan, Mongolia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Moldova, Montenegro, Sweden, Finland, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Madagascar, Morocco, Senegal, Ethiopia and arguebly a few other nations.
That's most of the worlds population by my reckoning. FIFA are imbeciles and liars. They claim most countries are football mad, despite it being untrue, and uneducated journalists and gullable fools just eat it up.
RL should start claiming to be the most popular sport in the world. After 20 years of lying we may start seeing results. People in the Peruvian mountains will turn around like, "What? RL is the most popular game in the world? Why aren't we playing it? We must play this game! Call the President, dammit!"
Because that's basically what FIFA do. They convince people they're the world game, and sheep people want to get involved and compete because they feel they're missing out.
I love copying and pasting my list of countries where Soccer isn't #1. It breaks hearts everytime. Because soccer fans actually believe in their own hype.
Another great one from soccer fans is "only yanks call football soccer!", when actually only really British people use football for soccer.
Soccer fans tick me off something silly. Soccer is like the Justin Bieber of the sporting world.
