| Well we got to see the best of Sam Tomkins.
But most of all we got to see a side that could be capable of winning the quad nations coming the end of the year.

Did we? Did we really? The French were poor, worse than poor. It would be hard for anyone to not look good. However for about 20 mins in the first half when they scored that soft try(and it was the softest of tries) they held us and things started fallling apart, missed passes etc. Can this team win a 4 nations?

| Holding tests or any rep games mid-season won't do much to prepare France or England. However, the French team is on a hiding to nothing in this game - Super League based players are worked into the grounds by the cumulative effects of a gruelling Super League schedule, season after season, as rlsenior figures like Jamie Peacock identifiedrl"If an outsider looked into our league and wondered why we get beaten by the Aussies he'd think we were stupid playing the number of matches we do.
<snipped>
"The modern game is played at collision speed and injuries are inevitable.
"Rest is important to our athletes."'"

| Wasn't one of the reasons to bring Catalans into SL to improve the International game and bring them up to speed ?.... The experiment isn't working and I would happily get rid of them in a shot in favour of a Halifax, Barrow, Widnes or Leigh... How many times are France going to get a mauling before we give up on the experiment ?

Do you as a Leigh fan, feel in some way responsible for yesterdsays attendance?

Catalans get far higher crowds than Halifax, Barrow and Leigh would achieve, and Widnes would probably only equal their crowd figures.
while RL as a whole needs to take the blame for last nights poor crowd, it won't do Leigh's SL's bid much good...if they can't sell 12k tickets on their own doorstep for an international, just how many are they going to get for SL ties with Quins, Salford, Crusaders etc?

| It was an RFL masterstroke that none of you are seeing
Let's play the same day as England Football and Rugby Union knowing they are going to be rubbish and get beat leaving us the only successful English national side.
Pure Genius

Leigh Widnes and Halifax have already had their shot in super league.
Last night proved Toulouse need to be in SL to make France competitive internationally. You cant expect part-time players to be able to compete with full time internationals from SL and NRL clubs.

| its a sad thing but i actually agree with scopions. with the amount of foreign players in the dragons side it limits the chances of french players to play at the top level. another french side is needed to allow more french players to play at high level club rugby. Either that or the RFL cut the amount of non domestic players the dragons are allowed to the same as everyone else and in return stopping them from being relegated( mmmmmm hang on?) until such time as they are competitive with a majority french sqaud.
