Give her time to put her knitting down, I'm sure she will have a perfectly rational excuse

Good point, JT.
The Wakefield board should be applauded for their efforts in trying to secure a Macedonian passport for James Stosic. Having a Macedonian plying his trade at the highest level of rugby league in the northern hemisphere can only be good for promoting interest in the game in Macedonia, and the international game as a whole.
If we ever do see a truly European Super League, it will be thanks to forward-thinking, pro-expansionist clubs like Wakefield who have had the courage to ignore the ridicule of the cave-dwelling little Englanders and expand the frontiers of the game.
A strong Super League (Europe) needs a strong Macedonia!
Good luck with the passport application James.

Another wakey fan with nothing to say about RL.

Do try and learn the rules about players on one year loans then you will not make this simple mistake. HTH

The licences should make it easier for clubs to get their quota + non fed to 6. Despite this wakey continue to chase a macedonian passport. They hold onto journeyman exemptions. This is the approach of your club, maintained over several years. Bringing Winterstein over for 5 SL games while Pitts and Bibb were farmed out demonstrates the wakey approach.
You said the RFL were 'pleased with' your academy development. Then you may also know what the RFL think about so many non fed players in a squad.

Just out of interest, how many players do Huddersfield have in their 1st team squad, that came through their academy system?

I suspect , not.
Can't comment on some of the names at the bottom of the list. (there could be some 'Wintersteins' in there). There looks to be 9 non fed trained and one of those (Smith) will not be there in 2010.
Happy for you to name the 10+ non fed trained.

Try the Giants website and a little research if no one on here can be bothered to do it for you.
I have been delighted watching the likes of Jacko/ Eorl/ Raleigh/ Cudjoe / Lawrence playing regularly in 09. Plus thought the likes of Elliot Hodgson showed promise on his mom winning debut versus Saints on Sky.
The value of good quality overseas signings has played its part. For example Lawrence has learned much from Fatz a NZ international while Cudjoe and E Hodgson have learned much from a player like Brett Hodgson. Rarely would much be learned from a journeyman.

I think Tommy is classed as fed trained also tbh so that means 8. Down to 7 next season with Tim Smith leaving.

Pitts signed for Leeds, he wasn’t ‘farmed out’ as you put it. Bibb plays prop and was well down the pecking order mid season hence the loan spell with HKR. Winterstein (which incidentally I was against the signing) plays SR. These players leaving had nothing to do with Wintersteins brief stint at BV.

5 games for Winterstein suggests he was an overseas player flown across the world to be well down the pecking order. Pitts and Bibb were under contract to wakey, your club chose to farm them out and bring in FW.
