| Quote: Dunbar "It's an interesting hypothetical question - what a team...
Davies
Offiah
Newlove
Schofield
Robinson
Edwards
Gregory
Graham
Roby
Morley
Peacock
Ellis
Burgess
Oh, and a few subs from either era'"
...and Ellery Hanley, he used to be a bit useful too!!

Fancy sticking that pack with Edwards, Gregory, Schofield, Newlove, Offiah, Hunte, Hanley, Davies, Lydon etc'"
How about sticking them with forwards like Ward, Platt, Skerrett, Crooks, Goodway, Gregory, Fairbank, Hanley. Not sure we weren't competing the pack twenty years ago.

Is he?
When I have watched him he looks like a great runner, but his kicking (long) and passing game looks nothing special. He reminds me of Danny Mcguire.

People have to get preconceptions of how players were out of there minds. Its the reason we are so crap at sport over here.
McGuire is not the 1 trick pony he was when he 1st started. He is Leeds most dangerous player with ball in hand and can control the game now. The best I have seen him this year though is at 7 and I believe he is a natural scrum half, much in the mould of Benji Marshall.

tbf the games i've seen him whats impressed me the most is his options. Seems to pick the best one most of the time, reading of a game/anticipation etc That's what makes me think he'll become a very very good 7

Dont get me wrong I really rate Mcguire, the best number 6 we have, but thats where he shold play, he does it best when he has Sinfield controlling the game.
I honestly dont see the fuss with Myler, he looks a good prospect, but thats it, I think Topkins, Eastmond and even Rachford look better halfbacks.
I would have played the Leeds triangle for England, which is why I am shocked that he isnt in the squad.

Sinfield and Burrow are ineffective at National level.. how many times do we need to see this

| Your are not big!
Your halfbacks are not naturally gifted.
And watch this Leeds Triangle sh*t? B*tch, this isn't the NBA and you are not Phil Jackson!
(See how I bring it from all sporting angles. More angles than a Cronulla Sharks bonding session!)

So now we're taking statements by how calm the air was

| Speaking as an England fan and not a Salford fan, personally I don't think Myler should be in the squad. He has great potential and can play a pivotal role in a game don't get me wrong, but his defense is terrible. I think at the moment he could do more harm than good.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

I think the idea for Myler is that he will play against Wales and France and see how he goes again for the future, they don't plan to play him against NZ and Aus and if they do they are mad. I think Tomkins will play against NZ or Aus personally. He is the best half back we have atm.

| Quote: Dunbar "With all the forwards available to Smith why start with Sinfield and Wilkin which seriously reduces the size of the pack? (in fact I wouldn't have either in the 17 - maybe Sinfield if Smith was building a team around him)
and has Hall played in the centre this year / at all?'"
Not a Leeds fan, but, Sinfield ads lots of game control options and I don't see anyone doing better at LF in the SL - hence why I don't see anyone in ahead of him. Wilkin brings big game experience to a rather new/experimental side, who would you have in the second row instead. As for Hall, I believe he has and I can't think of a better centre pairing based on the current squad.
