Disagree completely. The Cas site is further down Wheldon Rd, not perched on the junction. If it's on the Junction access from the roundabout at the bottom of town would be ridiculously bad, causing more traffic jams and disruption on to Lock Lane.
Oh, and Wheldon Rd Cas ground is also bigger than Nestle, which means that the road widening can take place suitably for the supermarket.

| thats just like it is at ASDA at the top of town, you never had traffic queuing like it is know, so if Neslay was a better option the road wouldn't cope, & at certain times of the day it would be gridlocked, so if they did put in for planning on there it would cost a fortune for the roads to be altered, plus the people who live on the roads of welden road would would be a lot more effected by traffic than a site on the jungle

| Nightmare scenario for Cas is that should the concrete be in the ground for NM by 2014 Wakefield will retain their place in SL. New ground or not if Glover gets the Wakey crowd average over 9k they won't be dropped from SL anyway.
There are influential people who would like one club from the area in SL and Cas could suffer the drop should Wakey get their new stadium and lift their crowds.
I do think the league will stay at 14 from 2015 with one club dropping out and a French club coming in. Whether it would be Toulouse or Avignon I don't know but Rugby League could thrive in either of those places. Two French clubs are wanted badly by those who make the important decisions.
The shortage of players is being addressed to maintain 12 British clubs as more British lads are playing SL then ever. The numbers have gone up from around 160 in 2006/7 to 290 roughly last year. Another three years and there will be plenty more.

| Bradford & waky should be below Cas on the totem pole, any club that dose not pay there bills have no place in the pro ranks, plus if Glover puts the price to where it will have to be in order for waky to pay its BILLS, the new found support will soon make its way back to there armchairs, if we sold tickets at half price we would sell a lot more than 4000

Got to admit I love it when they sound scared, gnashing their teeth, stomping their feet & making things up.

That could also be said for Cas Tigers playing at Wheldon Road.

| Quote: vastman "Fair point but it's on a main road and well served by buses and it is only 3 1/2 miles from the bus station as opposed to the 2 miles which is the case for BV.. Also the club has stated it will look at this issue and hopefully persuade Arriva to add extra busses on match day. You could walk it in less than an hour assuming you don't stop at too many of the many pubs on route
All of which is understood, as I say it's a minor quibble and there's never many travelling in by train as you say. It'd probably end up as a pub crawl or a taxi job between a few, so no real harm done!
