The first bit of this post is hilarious. And I just want to pick up on something else you said.
Good forward work isn't getting the rewards it should!
Therefore, surely it doesn't matter McIlorum is playing behind a better pack? You have just told us it doesn't matter. And therefore, his efforts are that much more impressive than they already a because you cannot tarnish them with this 'plays behind a great pack' line.
It seems to me that you cannot handle another player performing at the same level as Roby.

| Where the hell is Danny Brough? Play Chase at 6, Brough at 7 and Bob is your fecking uncle and you have a decent hb partnership right there!!

| Quote: Loyal Leeds Fan "Should have been Brough at 7 and Chase at 6 IMO. People will also have something to say about Ablett as well, but everytime he's played in the centres for Leeds I couldn't really fault him. If Watkins gets over his injuries I reckon he will be pushing for the spot, and if Goulding keeps his form up he will also be in with a shout, and let's not forget Reed either. I have no problem with Tickle playing either - he's been in great form this season so his selection is deserved. I think Westwood is better suited to the international game though.'"
Give over, Goulding has been twice the player at centre this season. Why break up the Goulding/Charnley partnership to put in a plodder? Makes no sense.

Over Goulding and Cudjoe. Two exciting young centres. One who has been putting Josh Charnley over for a bucket load of tries. Instead we get an average second rower who covers at centre when Kallum Watkins is crocked.
I can only hope for the sake of any shred of respect that Danny Brough has picked up a knock and that is why Sinfield is partnered with Chase.
A truly horrendous team selection.

| All 6 Leeds players in the 17 man squad. Good decision I reckon picking from the form team in the comp.
I reckon I could name 7 or 8 English centres who I'd put in the team over Ablett if I thought about it.

| Good grief Sinfield still at 6. Hope Atkins puts in a good performance, especially after that last tour.
This team at least shows there is some depth in England now. Add in Graham, Burgess, Ellis, Westwood, Widdop, Reed and a few others and there is a lot of competition for world cup places. That's what it's all about now. World cup or disband pretty much.

| Where is 6 Chase, 7 Brough? Where is Tom Briscoe? And why is Kevin Sinfield, JJB, Peacock in the squad and why isn't Mossop starting? McNamara MORON[/size And Goulding should be in there over Ablett IMO.

Are all better centres than Ablett, and then Shenton and Turner when on form are too.

Read my post again before jumping in will you. I'm not saying I would have picked Ablett over Goulding. In fact if you go back over my posts I have said I would have included Goulding, and only [ipossibly[/i Ablett. I've also said that breaking up the Charnley/Goulding partnership is daft. What I am saying is that Ablett is capable of playing well at centre.

| Somehow, I'd convinced myself that McNamara wouldn't screw this one up.
All that was ruined 6 names into the team though. A ridiculous, joke of a decision.

Anyone else think England vs England knights would make for an interesting game, the knights having a lot of young players with ambition against the older more experienced guard'"
It would indeed be a good game. however it would carry the added 'problem' of the Knights probably beating the 'first' team. which wouldnt go down well with the powers that be.

| Goulding has been wearing strapping to his thigh for a number of weeks now.
Could be he's not fully fit.
Even so he's been far better than Ablett and breaking the partnership with Charnley is odd.
Why is it the RFL have every faith in McNamara when not a soul outside Red Hall thinks he's anywhere near good enough.
He was totally out of his depth at Bradford so they gave him the England job.
Like Smith before him, he was on his way out at Leeds so he got the England gig. What a disaster he was in the World Cup!
It's just such a mess!

| unbelievable line up.
6 out of the 17 from the 9th best team in the competition. An average 2nd rower playing at centre, an average loose forward playing at half back. what is the point!??!??!!?

You really think the Knights would beat the main squad?
