Is Jy Hitchcox the only player deemed worthy enough to have his name capitalised?
Who's Toronto's current LF? Is it Krasniqi? If it is I'd happily take him back as a squad player at Salford if his game time will be limited once Wilkin arrives.
Ken Sio also being linked with Salford from what I've been told and would definitely be an upgrade on what we've currently got.

Anyone who watches the NRL will have seen how awful he has been this season. Never recovered from trying to be the tough guy with Sims and getting owned. Supposedly a great charachter off the field though. His stats are woeful too.

he's had far more good seasons than bad in the NRL, he's only 27 a move to SL where it is less defensive orientated will be a good move for him, entertainment has been lacking at Headingley for 3 seasons him and Lolohea will bring some life back into the team - we just need some no nonsense forwards to set a platform now.

| The standard of SL is so low these days that Hurrell can stink up the NRL and still be devastating over here.
He will be running over the top of and through defenders all season long if Leeds can keep him fit.
Rhinos fans should be buzzing at this signing and I can't wait to see him play in this competition.

Give it a rest this is a truly boring line trotted out by those with no imagination or integrity.

How did that work out for Tyrone Roberts? He did nothing in super league.
Yes we all know the NRL is miles ahead but let's stop the myth that any NRL player can come here and rip it up. Time and time again this has been proven to not be true.
That's not to say Hurrell won't do well. I have always been a fan and even though he had a poor year. Last year he was lot better and @ the warriors was not fit enough and constantly allowed himself to put on excess weight.
If Leeds can keep his weight in check he should do well for them.

SO true, just look at the long list of NRL players who have gone home with their tails between their legs, including some high profile internationals, and some average British players gone over there and ripped it up.

Where did I say any NRL player can come here and rip it up?
I was speaking about Hurrell specifically and the overall standard of SL these days, which I think is poor despite what Vastman thinks.
Look at how well Fonua did while he was over here, Hurrell has a very similar build and style of play. Most centres and wingers playing in SL just don't have the same size and power, for whatever reason. If Leeds can keep him fit and play to his strengths he should do very well.

What it really comes down to with NRL recruits is application. If they really give it their all or close to then they look great, if they go through the motions then you’d be better off getting a homegrown player for probably much cheaper. Barba is a perfect example of this when you compare his start of the season to the showings at the end of it.
Interesting to see Leeds dust off the cobwebs off the chequebook with a marquee signing and apparently a 2nd to follow. Becomes more clearer that it was the prolonged stadium work which lead to a lack of activity and spending, now that the work is pretty much done and how it’s all being paid for finalised then we know what we can spend. McDermott deserves even more credit for getting as much success out of the squad he had given he wasn’t given the same luxury with the chequebook.

With Gale and Trueman I can’t see them wanting Mellor
Heard this week he’s Toronto bound.

Think the Toronto thing fell through after they didn't win promotion, I heard Cas and Wakey have come in for him this week.
