| Just converted NZ$675000 into sterling. I'm off to have a little cry (wouldn't like to buy Bradford, would you?).

Do you know the difference between a non-declared (in fact denied) administration and imminent liquidation?

Stranger things have happened.....it all depends on the conditions required by the TV comps...the Pirates look to be in......it then becomes about who would "add" to the TV audience figures.......Brisbane II will only canabalise the audience already there......central coast maybe????

| Quote: The Original Red Devils "Im not going to sit and read through all the pages so forgive me if i say anything that has been said. The women who posted this rant has since come out and apologized on Salfords facebook and forum (not sure if she has here). She basically doesn't have a clue whats going on and has just listened to rumor after rumor and come up with this.
In the original post she refers to Salford moving back to the willows, click on the following link and make your own mind up weather we will be back there or not rlhttps://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid Funny how she says this thread is not being here to spread rumors and malicious gossip.
She also goes onto say the people at the club don't have their heart in the job but then can never stop lauding them on facebook telling them how great they are. May i also point out she was on twitter after the Hull KR game spreading more rumors about how Salford fans were chanting racist abuse, you couldn't make it up. Maybe people who have noting better to do should start attending games instead of leaving it to the die hard 100 or so maybe we would be in a better position.
Let me say people who know me know i like a good moan but some things written in that first post are laughable. The club are extremely poor in almost every department and we need to buck our ideas up and fast if we want to progress as a club. They have let us down time after time after time so i can understand where this rant has come from i have had a few in my time but i base mine on facts. We may be near administration i honestly don't know things don't look good but what good does it do to Salford RL for a "supporter" to come out and start a 15 page thread up.
I will post what Salford themselves have said on the clubs facebook and yes i understand they are hardly going to tell you if we were but just for the sake of it;
Salford City Reds Rugby League Club They're just peddling the same rumours Rossy. The tired line 'Salford were forced to deny they are going into administration...' was used again as a stick to beat us with - damned if we do deny, damned if we don't (which is why we try not to comment on rumour and speculation!!).
Administration is not happening, nor has Holdsworth 'gone to Hull' but there's nothing we can do to stop people constantly repeating it with a nod and a wink and pretending 'they know something you don't know'.
Also nothing we can do to stop fans believing it sadly. /Steve'"
If you know me and my Facebook/Twitter Activity so well why don't you message me personally instead of attempting to belittle me on here? If you know me you will know Im very approachable and ive been a ST holder for 17 years,So please dont try and play the whole im a better supporter than you card . I apologise for the initial thread but it was taken in good faith from a Stadium Employee/Journalist and Board Representative. Yes The Willows is being demolished so that left me with Egg on my face for believing others. But thats Life you learn and Move On!

No im not an administrator. But if they save one Team then there going to set a precedent and should do the same for any body else that goes the same way.

No other team in the history of Super League has come close to being liquidated. Others have had saviours in place before it gets to that stage, usually buying them or the trade/business out of administration.

| I said this when they first announced where they were to build their new stadium. It is totaly the wrong place for Salford to be. There was ample land closer to the fan base for it to be built and owned by the company that holds the lease but they stuffed it out there. Seeing the plans for the new marina and the railway link sort of made me feel like there was a long term plan for the Reds but I personally think they will have gone before that comes to fruition. The fact that no thought went into the training facillities being sufficient for the Reds and the Sharks coming to the complex sort of says that Salford City Reds are not in the minds of the people who are planning the future. I hopeI am completely wrong as I do like going to the odd REds game when Leigh are not playing and the people I have sat with have been fantastic.

For anyone who knows Salford. The ideal place for the new ground was situated in the now almost derelict retail park that goes under the name of West One. This would of been straight off the M602 (closer than the current M60) Also they would of had a tram running direct to the ground. Another was, although not the most pleasant places to drink they would of had over 10 - 20 boozers to drink in less have 1km walk. How this place wasn't considered in the 1st pace is mind boggling, even more so now virtually every shop on the retail park in on the verge of closing if not already closed.

Sheffield have posted a profit of around £10,000 for the last two years and Halifax have done the same for the last financial year.
Work within your means, if you don't have the money don't do it. If that means not performing as well on field and taking smaller steps compared to other clubs then so be it.'"
Not being pedantic but the Fax posted £20,000. profit for last season bet not many Super league clubs did that.

It was considered a long time ago - but Salford didn't have the money in place to take it on at the time, before anything could be organised, it became West One.
The ideal spot would have been the land around Oldfield Road where the Chill Factore was originally going to be built.
