| Quote Saddened!="Saddened!"It's not that at all. I just don't see the point in the RFL bringing in rules to try to benefit the national team and in turn benefit the sport through increased exposure, if all the clubs do is work around the rules as best they can.'"
It seems to be the ones at the bottom of the table bringing through more players than those who have the money at the top.
Be interesting to see how many juniors/English players each club has brought through this season. I know Cas have had 11 of their own juniors play this season.

| Quote OoOGazOoO="OoOGazOoO"Exciting times for Wigan.
3 excellent signings there.
3 sigings which i dont think will be topped by anyone in the league.'"
Got to agree with that. And along with probably the best academy set up in super league currently.
Can't see anybody coming close to Wigan next year, but I still think they will blow it this year though.
Only frustrating thing about this for Wigan is why do they need to resign donkeys like Carmont, when you are bringing in 3 more overseas. No need for that at all.

Carmont isn't a donkey and it will allow our younger players such as Marsh and Charnley develop for a further year (both who still qualify for the u20s). Carmont for the value we got him has been an excellent signing for us since he arrived and a great improvement on who we had before him.

| Am very impressed with Wigans signings but i am sure thre wil be some other players leaving them this year. I would be very surprised to see Hock go back to them. I would have him at Huddersfield if we could.
Surely their biggest signing at Wigan which has passed without comment has to be Warrington's accountant.

And we have 17 English players who have played in the first team this year. 16 if you don't count Ainscough whose only played 1 game.
If you're only counting young players then we've had 12 of them who've played a significant part this season.
Oh and that's counting people like Tommy (Federation trained) or Hanson (Wigan academy product)
Oh that's ignoring Charnley whose played exceptionally well at Rovers and is one for the future at Wigan (there's simply not space for ANOTHER back at the moment). And of course that's not counting the other handful of young Wiganers are in the first team squad but haven't had a game.

I mean homegrown players that have come through your academy, not any English players. If you're doing that then Cas have roughly 25 domestic based players play for us this season.

| Typical Noble bringing in three big money Aussies, what's wrong with bringing in more of the amazing Wigan youngsters?

Don't know if you're stuck in a vacuum but Noble is currently coach of Crusaders...Michael Maguire is Wigan coach.

| 3 great signings by Wigan, real quality. As they're probably letting 4 quota players go for 3 in, surely thats progress too?

Good post!
And for those getting themselves in a hissy fit about the SC, Fieldens wages are likely to half for next year. Easy enough space on the cap!
