If you feel that way , ask the RFL , they're the ones making the rules

you know when you deleted a bit from my post so you could make this one?
well that bit you deleted was the relevant part. It also explained why it was relevant. Which leads me to ask why you felt the need to delete it then ask for it putting again?

hmmm, what a strange response

The RFL rules dont include a law which states some Widnes fans need to show a sense of entitlement. Maybe the international rules do. Ill have a look

Back on topic.

Whilst at work yesterday, a fellow Rovers' fan said that whilst listening to the start of BBC Radio Humberside's Sports Talk programme on Tuesday night 29th Dec, David Burns allegedly stated he believed the HDM reports regarding Rovers to be £3M in debt to be "not right" having spoken to a figure "high up" at Rovers.

David Burns allegedly stated that he understands the HDM have based the £3M figure on "one sheet" and have not taken into account other factors such as £1M+ in season passes alone amongst other factors and he allegedly understands a more accurate figure to be around the £1M bracket.

Whilst David Burns loves his football, I do know he has a very good relationship with the Rovers board and Radio Humberside's track record in terms of it's accuracy of reporting of Rugby League is generally proven to be very accurate.

I like many others initially made the mistake of taking the £3M figure at face value which demonstrates that at this time, it is more important than ever that Rovers fans trust our Chairman and current in board and are not swayed by stories routed in the extraordinary pressures journalists face to fill column inches and of course the bitter and twisted across the river who will feed like parasites and leeches off such stories whilst they struggle to come to terms with their team and coaches' proven track record of continual and repetitive failure when it comes down to "walking the walk".

Whilst £1M of debt still isn't good reading (at face value) we have to understand that our debts have to be viewed in the context of the necessary investment that was needed as a promoted SL club and also operating at the maximum salary cap. I have total and complete trust in our Chairman and the Board in the direction they are taking the club and I hope my fellow Rovers fans' are too.

How is this relevant, in the context of your interdiction between Starbug and captaincaveman’s posts?

No Widnes fan were involved in it.

Part of Captaincaveman's argument was based on the attitude of some Widnes and Halifax fans showing they believed their clubs to inclusion to almost be a foregone conclusion when this shouldnt be the case

1.5 million in season ticket sales for this season cannot really be used against an existing debt , if that was the case what are you going to pay your players with this season ?

Accounts run yearly for a reason , most sports business accounts run fairly close to the seasons they play in

Not having a go , just telling it the way it is

Why ?

They have basically the best stadium outside SL

They have almost double the fan base of any other club outside SL

They are the only club outside SL with all the relevant junior teams

They have considerable financial backing , probably more than any other club outside SL

They have a proven history of decent support in SL ' better than any other club outside SL and better than many in SL

They have qualified by the RFL's rules to apply in 2012

So you think they shouldn't be very confident ?

I think most Widnes fans are realistic about our possible inclusion and have every right to regard ourselves as the best over-all club in the Championship.

You didn't actually mention any that in your replies to Starbug anyway.

They are probably a better bet than the other heartland teams outside SL, but they havent proved they are better than those already in it

and they have yet to show however what they will contribute to super league

Well he's wrong. I haven't read one Halifax fan claim that. Neither has Captaincaveman and neither have you.
