Oh...sorry, I didnt realise this was another of those "Well won won that single famous game in that series we got smashed in" moments in British Rugby League history.
I'm sure you were all very proud.
I wonder who went home with the trophy though???

| For the NZ and Oz games, I would look at big athletic backs, a half combination that works and lots of go forward in the pack. Some players have tried to step up to international level and failed so we should move on. Others seem to get better as they step up
For France, I would use a few young kids - T Briscoe, Myler etc... in tournament form and injuries mean they may be required
Centres are the big problem, despite bad press on boards like this, Gleeson really hasn't done anything wrong at international level and I would use a big centre alongside him... Clubb or Gilomour simply to take on those big backs that the others will bring
All things equal I would say the following
1. Shaun Briscoe
2. Peter Fox
3. Martin Gleeson
4. Lee Gilmour
5. Ryan Hall
6. Danny McGuire
7. Rob Burrow
8. James Graham
9. Scott Moore
10. Gareth Carvell
11. Jamie Peacock
12. Gareth Ellis
13. Sean O'Loughlin
14. James Roby

I know I seem to be bigging the guy up alot, but you say you want big athletic backs and then pick Fox and Hall? Briscoe has got to be one of hardest wingers in Superleague to put down. So strong for his age and his position.
rlComplete with stats to back up my point.rl
When you consider also the team that Briscoe has been playing in, he is a special talent.

Both Hall and Fox are strong and fast so that's why I went with them
I think Briscoe is going to be the best British back of his generation, a superb talent... I would have no problems with him in the side and maybe we should do exactly what the Aussies do and simply play our best players full stop...
Put Briscoe in against France and if he performs get him in there against the other two

I'd have Lee Smith at least in the squad, an excellent winger or full back or possibly back up centre.

Hall and Fox have both had great seasons, Hall in particular, if we are going on form, has to be one of the wingers. Fox is a good finisher, but for me Briscoe is just that bit quicker and stronger and looks capable of breaking the line every time he touches the ball.

First choice full back for me. Take him and Shaun Briscoe and if Smith needs to drop into centre then Briscoe should go in at fullback.
Smith
Hall
Senior
Gleeson
T Briscoe
Would be my backs.
S Briscoe
Fox
Shenton
Would be cover with Gilmour covering the backs and the back row.

Another Smith should tell him to not let the door hit him on the ar@e on the way out.
Plus I dont think Wasps will be keen either btw.
