| £2 million is an unbelievable achievement.
Especially when charities are struggling as a lot don't have that spare money anymore.
Great achievement. Happy to call him Sir Kev after that.

| Over £2.3m now. What can you say? Just unbelievable and as a Wigan fan who was left gutted by these lads time and again, I’m happy to now be able to count them as inspirational heroes. The ‘Sir Kev’ thing the Leeds fans used to come out with was mocked by myself and many fans but it absolutely needs to become a reality now.
On the same subject as well, a huge well done to Oliver Holmes. The guy hasn’t had the press coverage (for obvious reasons) that Sinfield has but he’s also put in an amazing effort to raise funds and deserves endless praise. The same goes for all the other people involved in both those efforts and all the others going on.

| It has brought a tear or two to my eyes, what more can you say? And for once a positive well produced item from the BBC.

| Absolutely amazing. Any time I see any oress coverage, the tears flow. Just one of those things that make the rugby league community special.
The timing may be wrong, but with all the exposure and goodwill Kevin has generated, and his position as an ambassador for the RLWC, we need to utilise him to really sell that tournament using his now huge profile

In all honesty I hope ZERO goes directly to Rob Burrow, he's been a well paid individual for a long time, many tens of thousands of those suffering from various ailments who aren't high profile sportspersons or earning very good salaries are not getting any additional funds for them to cope with life post diagnosis from the general public.I don't agree with benefit matches for players in these circumstances, any monies should be giv en to charities for that cause and they be equitably distributed on the basis of need. Why should one individual get more/large sums on the basis of them being high profile?
It's nothing personal against RB, I had my own career devastated by chronic illness, never asked for a penny more than what everyone else has being given in terms of help, in fact I refused money I could have had. I just want equitable treatment for all those that are having to deal with what they are going through because of a bad roll of the dice.

Although I am sorry for what you have had to go through, I don't think that this message should have been posted. If you've seen any of the interviews since Rob was diagnosed, he has been the most humble of guys, trying to divert attention from him to the need for more research. I would go deeper and say that people are not really doing this for Rob, but for his wonderful kids and wife, who very soon won't have their Father with them.

| 48756c6c20 524c4643, you should be ashamed of your comments in a thread praising a sportsman who has completed an amazing feat in support of a team mate and the many others who will also benefit from it.

| Highly commendable are Sinfield's efforts to help out a team mate and MNDA, he should be applauded.

Explain why, what are you offended by, that I wish fort monies donated to be equally distributed to people suffering and not one person whom has already had vastly more support than thousands of others?
Get a grip!

This is nothing to do with Rob Burrow, this is about the funds of the charity and how due to being high profile some individuals are treated differently, all I've said is that monies should always be distributed equitably in basis of need and that I disagree with benefit matches, where the monies often go directly to the player, because they have suffered. Why should one person receive mire support than others? I've not for a second suggested Rob Burrow has but this is the reality of what happens, I've said that ANY monies should always be distributed evenly, why is that so offensive?

read it again, come back and apologise for your aggressive comment, this is nothing to do with RB on a personal level, if you can't grasp that get someone to explain it to you, it's about making sure monies are given to those that need it in a more equitable way!
