Fair enough but I imagine you still couldn’t rule out the possibility of transmission happening? Just seems completely daft to all be playing at the same stadium and sums up the carefree attitude towards to the situation which is ridiculous given we’ve had 5 months without any games. Also, I could be wrong but don’t the Totally wicked stadium and Halliwell Jones stadium both only have two changing rooms? Potentially having 5 teams all being in the same changing room 24 hours apart just seems daft, even if they are cleaned in between.

Idiotic and selfish, I’m sure there are plenty of other examples as well. Until the RFL (and clubs themselves) take a tougher stance and issue fines to players at fault then there’ll be plenty more positive tests. I’d go as far as to say Hull should be fined for the postponements that will have to follow. How hard can it be for players to behave for three months and clubs to keep them under control?'"
And you have no evidence whatsoever to substantiate any of that regarding the Hull players, half our team is diagnosed with this deadly virus, which could have been contracted anywhere that’s contagion mate. Try to show a little sympathy with these lads and their families, before spouting your Neanderthal parochial biases.
“Fine them” really what a plum

Stop finger pointing. You have absolutely no idea how this could have infected the camp. You've gone to instant blame. It could have literally come from anywhere, even family members passing it on.

| If only Hull players have caught the virus, would that mean that they caught it after leaving Headingley, just a thought.

It's almost irrelevant where the players are living.
How they are behaving socially is of far more importance here.
If players are still out on the lash, the chances of infection seem massively higher than if they are in some kind of "bubble".
However, as others have said, footballers weren't exactly keeping away from the rest of the world but, if there is to be any chance of the season getting to the end, clubs and players are going to have to impose some very tight restrictions (assuming that they haven't already).
Remember, it only takes one or two to go "rogue" and the whole job will be screwed.

| First thought is hope all recover. Then hope Salford arent similarly affected. Entirely possible FC may just have detected it quicker? Because we are seeing football and cricket players breaking rules it can lead to presumption similar has happened here. I'd wait for the facts but work on the principle we are all in this together and hope it's just an unfortunate circumstance the virus got in their bubble/s.

Yep nice one Hull. Can we not throw them out the competition and have an even number of teams again?

Total speculation and likely trying to cause racial disharmony on a RL forum . IGNORE.
It is not where the players live, it is what they do and who they meet. They need to be isolated throughout.

| Whos to say a hull player picked it up at Tesco when he was doing his weekly shop and unwittingly spread it?
Think its a bit harsh to get the pick forks out just yet

| How do we know it started from a Hull player? The only way that can be guaranteed for sure is if Salford tests come back negative, which shows that Hull players were mingling with non-players socially on Sunday night after the game and before the went to the training ground on the Monday.
Hull has one of the lowest infection rates in the UK. Salford are based in one of the largest areas for infection in the UK with local lockdowns in place close to them. Maybe we have detected it because our testing was Monday and Salford's was Tuesday? Perhaps it was Ryan Lannon who had it first, and passed it when he gave Josh Griffin a facial across his nose and mouth during the match, and Griffin gave it o Jordan Johnstone and Josh Bowden on Sunday night?
All hypothetical's, and what if's. End of the day, we don't know where it came from, who had it first and the potential effect it can have on the season and the sport. All I know is that I wish the players involved a speedy recovery and they get back fit soon

| Good men and women have died, sometimes struggling and dying in pain and solitude due to this plague from Asia, god knows I don’t want to play the forum police, but some posters need to evaluate their contributions on this serious matter.

According to Jenna Brooks on Twitter, all Salford players' tests came back negative. However, 11 of the players now need to self isolate for 14 days after coming into contact with the infected Hull players. As previously said, we don't know where/how the Hull players have caught the virus, it could easily have been brought home by a player's wife then transmitted at training so stupid and naive put the blame on the Hull players directly.

If the procedures under which SL has restarted allow players (and other members of their households, to go out shopping, and seemingly to pubs judging by posts on SM, then they really aren't fit for purpose.
