Radford says he's not looking forward to playing on that cowpatch of a pitch at Wakey on Friday night, do you think he might be getting his excuses in early

Have you got a link 'cos, that's hilarious
Coaches under pressure will be
Smith at KR, although he is clearly rebuilding their squad and has had to cope with some injuries to bug players
Watson at Salford, who, despite making the GF last season, look extremely average and if thet stay down at the bottom end of the table, pressure always builds
Price at Wire, huge money spent but there is something not happening for them at the moment
Radford at FC, again huge squad spend for not enough return
McDermott at Toronto, despite spending a fortune on players, their squad looks to small in number and lacking enough quality for the week in week out grind of SL.
Of course, everything can change in just a few games and the sensible thing to do is to be patient (for all clubs).
However, there is no doubt that the spectre of relegation piles on the pressure, just as spending big and not gaining success.

| Quote: The Devil's Advocate "That's the second thread so far this season, it's becoming embarrassing.
I think it's far too early to dump a coach however Warrington's capitulation at Leeds must be a worry. Hull only lost on the last play of the game, hardly Radford's fault. Both must still have some credits with the recent C.C. wins, but I suppose when your spending big, expectations must go through the roof.
Jeez if Wakefield won the C.C. Chester would have a job for life!'"
Well that wont be happning this season as they will be getting knocked out in their next game

or if a club chairman has set a target for that season and the coach is already doing a good enough job to hit that?
some clubs realise they arent going to win trophies so set realistic aims for their coaches and squads.

But they dont have the ability to sack coaches and lets face it most (sports) fans want coaches and managers sacked at the drop of a hat - or a few points these days.
Im sure if every coach was sacked everytime the fans weren't happy most clubs would have about 4 a year

Good job Davey didn't listen to your fans last season then, still time this season I suppose with a few more results like Sundays.

He's out of ideas and we are on for a steady but yet again not challenging at the top mid table finish.'"
I suppose we have different expectations when it comes to success, whereas I'd be deliriously happy just to see my club in a Final, you expect much more.
That's not a dig b.t.w, with the set-up you've got there shouldn't be any reason why Hull are not challenging for the big prize.
However, wouldn't it have been better if the club has lined up a new coach to come in pre-season rather than a knee-jerk appointment so early in the campaign?
The other problem at this time of the year is who would be Radford's replacement? People can bandy about names like Wane or Powell, but why would they want to?

| Quote: The Devil's Advocate "So do you think after five games he should be sacked?
You've beaten Leeds away which is unusual, beaten K.R. & lost to Wigan & St's & a last minute loss today against a very competent Catalans side. It's hardly a catastrophic start to the season.'"
He should have been sacked way before now. These five games in isolation aren't a big issue, but he was already on thin ice.
Radford has overseen two cup wins, but also the heaviest defeats in club history both home and away, and the joint longest losing streak in club history (longest in SL era). The amount of total capitulations on his watch is embarrassing. No club should be getting beaten by 50, we do it pretty much every month. The credit that he built up in 2016/17 is long gone now, and we aren't showing any signs of improvement. It's the same old s*** week in week out. We have recruited well and have a very useful looking squad, but unless we act soon it's another wasted season. Another month of this rubbish and the season is basically over by Easter.

| Chester was never under pressure except in the opinion of a few numpties. All clubs have them, the chicken lickin brigade.

Again, who can come in at this time of the season to replace him?

Back to back challenge cup winner. Now if you win it once, it can be seen as a fluke, but when you back it up the next year and win again, that's greatness.
Now, tell me more about Ward?
